Endo with Ovulation Questions..

Hello all! hope your all staying safe. 🙏

Just wondering if any of you knew this.. so 3 weeks ago i had surgery and had stage 4 endo on bladder and bowels... i had a kink in my left fallopion tube too...

Nothing was corrected but I am ovulating now.. or at least think so as I am having my usual ovary pain but only on my left side. and a positive opk.. i never feel the right... but thats the only good side. Does this mean that I still could be ovulating from my right side and just not feel it??

I read that its unusual to ovulate out of the same side each month.. so Im guessing my good side does ovulate but why do I get so much pressure in my left every month if that side is not doing anything?

Hope I worded this right... x

Hey, yes I think you could be ovulating from right but experiencing pain in left. Like you my left side is the bad side and I was also concerned as felt like I was only ever ovulating from my left as I would get pain in the left month after month, I had ivf two years ago and they told me I was ovulating from my right side that month but I was convinced it was my left side due to usual pain, I think it’s not uncommon to feel pain in the other side as I guess both ovaries are active at that time even the one that isn’t releasing the egg - not sure that makes any sense!

Aww yes totally thats really reassuring. Just gonna keep trying I guess... Its crazy how many years this has been going on for... you would have thought I would know my stuff already but there is always something new to ask.... so thank you. How did your Ivf go?? xx

I so hear you! It’s crazy how much you know but how much you doubt yourself and the uncertainty takes up some much mental space, the IVF was a success 1st time around and we had a baby girl last year. I know I’m so incredibly lucky, but I’m sure having surgery prior to IVF helped. The whole experience made me realise had bloody tough we women with endometriosis are! Yes definitely, stay positive and keep trying. Will you have another op to remove what’s there? X

Wow congratulations!!! I applaud anyone who goes through IVF i know its a roller coaster that im really trying to avoid but im assuming it may be required if these first steps dont work (im 32 this should have happened years ago).. I thought they would be working on whatever they found but the surgeon was not a specialist... :( i was gutted but my plan is to see if perhaps anything happens as she managed to remove a single polyp... :) and i have read that they alone can cause no end of drama and infertility. alot of my pains and bleeding have stopped since so i really do have my fingers crossed.. plus any further surgery is defo going to be on the back burner now cuz of covid.. urrghh. xxx

Thank you, we tried for a couple of years with no success but before we tried I made my hubby have a sperm test (he really didn’t want too!) his results were pretty bad in terms of sperm count and movement, hardly any of his sperm were moving normally so probably would never reached the egg and he also had very few too, so I think we knew it probably wouldn’t happen for us naturally. I’m 34 so really know how you feel but you are still young, you do have time although it might not feel like that. It must be frustrating that they didnt remove what was there, I remember being so frustrated after my first diagnostic lap that I had wait 11 months for them to operate again but it’s 100% worth the patience to have a specialist instead of a regular gynaecologist, I had deep bladder and bowel endo too and you much better chances all round having someone with the expertise operate. That’s amazing news the you feel so much better after having the polyp removed!! Fingers and toes crossed 🤞🏽that it helps keep pain at bay and helps you conceive 🙏🏽 so many mums I’ve met have spoken about it taking two years to conceive and they don’t have endometriosis, I don’t think it’s as easy to conceive as some make out at all and they only tell you the problems they had conceiving once they have conceived x

Aww yeah, my husband had a sperm test last year but had surgery for suspected torsion so he has just had to do another one to see if the results were different. Still waiting on results for that as it was fine before and he has kids from a previous relationship so its just all me... :( sounds like we have exact same condition though!! so i do have hope..👍 thanks for crossing everything!! Im hoping because I have been on this journey for over 5 years..im going to appreciate it all so much more (if) it actually happens.... 🙏 Hoping the pain stays at bay too though as last year was awful!!!! no pain meds helped dont want to go back there.... Thanks for your repplies feel alot more positive now ❤❤ xx
