In so much pain from passing large clots… I really hate my uterus. Fed up! 😢

My usual dose of painkillers isn’t working for my adenomyosis & Endo pain this month. I came on yesterday. I think this month is extra painful because I took the Norethisterone to delay my period for my holiday and I regret taking it so much if that’s what’s causing this unbearable pain. Been in tears the last 24hrs, this condition really sucks, I just feel awful.

I called in sick yesterday due to the pain for the first time ever and I felt so guilty I’m normally able to just OD on painkillers and push through .

I guess I’m just venting because you ladies understand. I’m going to call 111 now to see if they can prescribe me stronger painkillers Passing these huge clots I’m sure is making my uterus think I’m having a baby lol.

Rant over … going to go cry some more then call 111. I’m not in the mood to sit in a&e for 5 hours just so they prescribe me paracetamol.

Hi,

Hope you are a bit better now?

I have had the same problems for last two years. Can’t leave the house 3/4 days due to pain and heavy bleeding during period. Anaemic as a result and had 2 iron infusions. I’m due to have endometrial ablation. Pinning all my hopes on this procedure! I know the pain will still be there but the bleeding being less will be amazing! I’ve had clots that have pushed a super plus tampon out!! I’m 45 So I can have this procedure as my baby days are done.

Hope you feel a bit better.

L x

Thanks for your message. A All the best with your surgery, I havent had kids yet so thats not really an option for me, although based on the current state of the dating market who bloody knows LOL! Its day 5 now so i'm no longer in pain thank God. I've been referred to Gyno and have an appointment sometime before 22nd August, although not actually confirmed🤨.

Well good luck with the appointment. I take tranaxamic acid and mefenamic acid which is a help but I’m already on loads of tablets for other “ailments” so I’ll be glad if I can stop those. I can’t take the pill which I’ve been told would have been helpful (or the mirena coil).Isn’t being a woman great! My two daughters are 13 & 15 and already fed up with Evil 👿 P!! Poor buggers. I’ve said oh once that’s gone you’ve the manic menopause to look forward to and if you’re really lucky a prolapse after childbirth.

Employers need to get with the issue too and have gender specific absence management policies. Good press about menopause at last but menstruation for some women is hellish!

Rant over! 😬 I’ll grab some sugar now! 🤣

How are you today? I’ve got adeno endo and pcos and now peri menopause! I’m ok at the moment but had a flair up last month well fo the past 30 years but when I’m bleeding heavy and clotting I take tranexamic acid it really slows down the bleeding and stops it! As for pain I’ve never found anything but heat and tens help. I take progesterone every day now it’s made things a bit better but not got rid on it good luck I’m booked to see the pain clinic in September so might get some more tips after that x

Thanks for your message. 30 years??! that's crazy, there needs to be more done about these conditions, its not normal to just live with chronic pain. I'm pain free now as its day 5. I've started back on the mefanamic acid and took co codamol for the pain which at least helped me sleep away the pain. x
