Desogestral and bowel endemetriosis

Hello, I am 46 years old and have severe level 4 endemetriosis. I started the mini pill Desogeatral 2 years ago and my period has completely stopped. I feel alot better. But once or twice a month, i have extreme pain in my rectum area. The pain goes after I sit on the loo and empty my bowels and take nurofen. I read that the mini pill doesnt keep endo on the bowels at bay. So is it possible that its still.growing there? Can i increase the hormone dosage as i really dont want surgery.

Hi Hana, deoestrogel doesn't keep any endo at bay. It just stops your periods which helps masisvely with pain but the endo keeps growing just the same. I've been on it for two years and tried to stop to see if my periods had stopped by themselves and I can feel the endo is much worse. I think it's just suitable for taking while you look into getting the endo removed surgically.
