Spotting/slight bleeding at time of laparoscopy

Hi,

Does anyone know if it matters if you are spotting/lightly bleeding when you have your laparoscopy? I’m on the pill and my periods are all over the place. So worried my surgery will be cancelled again. I wasn’t told this at my pre assessment so didn’t think anything of it. I can of course ring up this week, but just wanted to hear if anyone had any advice.

My periods are not heavy atm due to the pill, maybe this will make a difference?

Hi! I got my period the day of my lap, and want in the pill. They did the surgery and said it didn’t matter 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Good luck! Xx

Hi, I just had my laparoscopy yesterday and was day 3 of my period and it went ahead etc x

I was told it wouldn’t matter, they would do the surgery anyway. I was scheduled 6 months in advance. It would be too difficult to reschedule patients if they went off our wacky cycles, lol. The nurse and surgeon both told me it wouldn’t affect the procedure in any way either. 👍
