Marina coil at 56

I'm 56 and have just enquired about having my marina coil replaced.

This would be my 3rd cycle. Initially for heavy painful periods. Now along side a hrt gel.

Dreading a no answer, those heavy periods stopped me doing anything. Also I don't want yo take hrt gel for ever.

Just one more cycle please.

I've an appointment on Fri to find out. Fingers crossed

Hopefully you will get the response you want, I was initially given the mirena coil for the same reason however it also solved another issue I’d had for over 10 years, bladder issues, loss and uti’s, had the coil fitted and these just went away. Just something to think about.

Not quite as I hoped. ... apparently my coil is out of license but isn't due to be removed until Jan 2023.....BUT

1,May just be removed and not replaced due to age.

2, replaced but along side hrt

And here's the big BUT there's a super long waiting list, apparently 58 women on our practice already 🙄
