I just wondered if anyone else has had the marina coil and their experiences with it.
I only got it 2 weeks ago (worst pain I've felt) since then my pain has got 10x worse than before and more frequent. I have heard that it does take a while to settle, I am wondering is it worth it?
It is causing my to be bloated to the point I look 7 months pregnant.
Help please

I had it fitted just over 2 weeks ago, first 2 days fine other than minor bleeding. The following week was awful, very bad period pain and feeling ever so sick all the time. The following week was ok, pain gone and sickness gone. I'm still bleeding lightly which was the reason it was fitted in the first place! I had mine put in under general anaesthetic as I had various tests and biopsies as well. Mine is supposed to help with heavy bleeding, and menopause but I've been having hot flushes again only stopped for one week.
I'm sure I can feel my coil, are you aware of anything?
Hey, I had the Mirena coil fitted Aug 16. Everything was great on it. Had no periods (maybe an odd day of spotting but nothing major) I had mine taken out April 17 due to a dr wanting to rule out the causes of my pains. Still don't have the coil fitted as waiting for a laparoscopy. But if my dr recommends having it fitted again then I will do x
I had the coil fitted in February and had to have it removed a couple of weeks later due to being unable to move properly because of the pain. Each person is different hopefully it settles for you if your unsure visit your Gp and they will advise you what's best. I also couldn't feel my strings and neither could the GP so I was sent to have it out x
I've got the marina coil have had it over 10yrs I've never had any problems, i would go back to your doctor, it could be the symptoms of endometriosis, or IBS or an infection, best to get it checked out. Good luck.
