Hello everyone. Apologies if this has been asked before. I had a diagnostic laparoscopy in November 2021 and they found endo and adhesions on my rectum and bladder which were removed/released. After a few months pain free I have started getting pain and fatigue again which is such a shame. I only get this on the days I should be taking the 7 day break on Yasmin weirdly. I take Yasmin and have a break every other month and seem to get on well with it. Does anyone know if I can take more packs together than two at a time? I would speak to my gp/specialist but speaking to anyone in the nhs at the moment is difficult if it’s not serious. Wondered if anyone can help? Thanks.
Experience with Yasmin?: Hello everyone... - Endometriosis UK
Experience with Yasmin?
Hi. I’m glad it worked for you. Yasmin made me crazy so I don’t have much experience to give you advice.
Hi I’ve been in Yasmin for about 15 years abs it has really helped my endometriosis ! I also have severe IBS which I take other medication for. I have tricycled Yasmin for a long time ( taking three packets back to back) which was recommended by my GP. I was diagnosed with severe endo about 16 years ago, had 2 lots of surgery within 2 years but have managed to avoid the need for surgery for the past 14 years , so it’s worked for me! X
Hi there. I’ve just had this conversation with my gp last week so hoping it might help….I find Yasmin really helps me manage pain and to function. Like you I struggle in the week off with headaches, pain and swelling. I wanted to take it back to back as well. GP advised I can take for 3 months in a row with no break, then a 7 day break and back on for 3 months as that is current nhs advice.
Thank you everyone for replying. That’s really helpful. So glad to hear it helps some of you! I will give it a go
Do you get flare ups of symptoms randomly or is it just on the pill free week? It’s almost like my body knows I should be having the 7 days break this week and it throwing a hissy fit!!!
