Endo pain worse after pregnancy - help?

hi

I gave birth in September. It was an emergency c section and then I had significant abdominal surgery due to haemorrhage. Prior to pregnancy i had laparoscopy removing Endo (Stage IV) but at that time was told there was still quite a lot left. I also have an ovarian cyst and several large fibroids.

So roll on 4-5 months post pregnancy. First period returns - it is horrific! Epic blood loss but more concerningly the pain is debilitating. My partner has had to take two days off work to look after our baby because I couldn't move. My c section and other abdominal scar are burning/throbbing with pain. i can't stand up straight due to pain.

I know pregnancy solves endo for some women, obviously not for me so really looking for others who've had similar experiences. Is this a one off? Did anyone else's endo get worse? and how did you cope with it and having to look after small baby?

Thanks

Bless u 😞 Have u spoken to your doctor about it?

I really hope yours is a one off but definitely speak to your doctor & get the ball rolling now, just incase 💖

My situation is abit like yours but I had a vaginal birth.

4 years ago I had my son & had a big blood loss after, which i had blood transfusions for.

6 day's after his birth I was taken back into hospital as i had a endometrium infection that turned into sepsis.

It was nearly a year ago that i also had prolapse surgery. so i have lots of scaring internally.

Since my son's birth i have sufferd with awful pelvic burning pain & sharp pains on my right ovary.

I had pelvic pains & cysts before my son but it got worse after his birth. My pains used to be around my period, then ovulation & now it's constant 😔

Gynea thinks that my post partum infection had caused more scaring which is adding to the pain. I am on the waiting list for lap surgery.

My partner took lots of time off work too.

You need looking after aswel as your bundle of joy ❣

oh that sounds awful :/ thank you for sharing.

Yeh the gp ramped up pain meds but tbh i need a better solution than that! Have been referred back to gynae team so hopefully they can help.

I'm so cross with all the jolly health professionals who told me pregnancy cures endo

😡😡 !
