Confused after lap

Hi

I had my lap a week ago. Removed left ovary and endometrial “chocolate” cyst and a small cyst from right ovary. No other endo found. Query adenomyosis. Assuming that will be confirmed from the biopsy taken.

From what I’ve read, an endometrial cyst on ovary is classed as stage 3- but I have no other endo? I’m confused. Does this mean I have endo or not?!

I’ve got my follow up in 5 weeks and just want to make sure I’m as informed as possible.

My main concern is very heavy bleeding and I wanted the cyst (5cm) out as I’m approaching menopause and there a higher risk of them becoming cancerous after menopause.

An endometrioma (which is the cyst you've described!) is endometriosis - so yes, you have endometriosis (in exactly the same way someone with endo excised from other area have endo!)

I've had endometriomas removed before, and have adeno too so you're in good company ❤️❤️

Hi You will need time to heal, endo causes scar tissue Like you in menopause

as treatment suddenly stopped with HRT- another health scare.

Chocolate cysts - lost of 2 births due to this- so understand the cancer risk

in this day and age, should be found at a early stage- covid not helping.

Us ladies left to sort themselves out.
