PMB After 15 months without periods

Hi, I am just wondering if anyone has experienced what I am currently going through. I feel that I am being fobbed off and do not know who of what questions to ask.

I thought I had been quite lucky as I had gone 15 months without a period and had none of the usual menopausal symptoms. My GP did bloods which confirmed this in July. Then in late August I noticed pink when wiping so I contacted my GP who arranged for a scan. I was lucky and had a Ultra Sound scan quite quickly. The scan showed thickened and echogenic endometrium with microcysts- 19.3mm. Appearances suggestive of endometrial Hyperplasia.

I was then put on the 2 week cancer pathway and had a Hysteroscopy 10 days after the ultrasound. I had not experienced any more bleeding at all in that time.

Now this is where thing start to get a bit strange the Hysteroscopy showed no signs of Hyperplasia and was told the endometrium was smooth. I was then told that my body was having one last party and there was nothing to worry about. They took a biopsy which was fine but the cells had picked up a surge in a hormone but I did not catch which one.

One question I have tried to ask is where did the thickening go in between the Ultrasound and Hysteroscopy. I have had a Hysteroscopy in 2017 when I was still having periods and the same thing happened. The ultrasound showed a thickening and potential polyp but the Hysteroscopy showed nothing.

4 days after the Hysteroscopy I started bleeding again. This time with a lot more intensity and worse than any other period that I have ever had. There has been a lot of clots as well. I phoned the person that did the Hysteroscopy who said that it would be nothing to do with the procedure and just to treat it as a period. I am still bleeding 9 days after and every time I stand up I can feel the blood and clots gushing. It appears worse after bowel movements. It has settled a bit at night time when I am laying in bed but the first 3 nights were bad. I am also getting different pains to what I ever had when I was having my regular periods.

I have previously had bowel cancer and had a lot of scans and they all picked up the endometrium thickening but every time they reported it to Gynaecology they made nothing of it.

The GP is meant to be asking Gynaecology through advise and Guidance.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar

I had my first Hysteroscopy in 2019 due to a so called polyp being found, biggest mistake of my life. Apparently they took a sample and the sample was all clear. But unfortunately started bleeding so heavy a few weeks later and had to be admitted to A&E. Diagnosed me with menorrigha heavy bleeding, have suffered till this day. Also had another hysteroscopy last week as apparently scan showed I had a large fibroid. Came out of surgery, ended up having a panic attack for them to tell me the fibroid had flushed itself away as they could not find it. So thankful that I was not sliced. So new verdict is that I have heavy periods due to hormonal imbalances and that I have to manage it by mirena coil. I personally don’t think these people even know what they are doing. Obviously grateful for the NHS but unless the problem is being fixed then what is the point. Right now I’m just trusting in God to heal me and in the mean time have to take northisterone to manage bleeding. Total nightmare.

HiThanks for replying, do you mind me asking if you were post menopausal at the time of your first hysteroscopy.
