I’m having a diagnostic laparoscopy in a couple of weeks and I’m a bit worried about how my bowels may affect things. I have a lot of bowel symptoms one being constipation which can be very stubborn to treat. If I’m constipated when going in to surgery will that make it more difficult to find any possible endometriosis or affect the outcome in any way?, the gynaecologist is aware of my constipation issues and didn’t mention having to do a bowel prep, I’m just a bit worried about it.

Can you call admissions or the secretary for your consultant if you can't get in touch with them directly? I had bowl prep for my surgery on Monday (was really successful)... I guess all hospitals have their own way. I'm sure it will be fine but will put your mind at ease xX
