So I finally have a date for my second laparoscopy. I had my first one last august with a general gynae and was told no endo found and everything is normal. I got a second opinion and have been seeing a BSGE endo specialist since whose been really good and makes me feel like I’m not going crazy and my pain is valid. I’m just so nervous that he will do the lap and find nothing and I’ll be back to square on again 😞 I’ve had Prostap since January which has helped the stomach pains a lot and not having periods has been great but I’m still worried it’s all in my head after how previous doctors have treated me. I don’t want to have endo but I just want some answers…has anyone had a negative lap first time round to find they do in fact have endo, or if not endo have you been told it’s something else or investigated further e.g bowel issues? Thank you for reading xx

Hi! I’m currently waiting for my second lap. My first in 2019 was clear. They could see Adeno but no Endo. Just had my new MRI results back and my uterosacral ligaments are thickened which suggests Endo! If your lap was done by a general gynae (like mine was) then Endo can be missed. We need to be seen by someone with at least a specialist interest in Endo so we can be more reassured that the outcome of the lap is correct
Thanks Lofty1589 😘 I think the longer you wait the longer things manifest in your mind and you over think and doubt yourself! Yeah my first one was general gynae she was vile as well very dismissive. My recent MRI was ok but my new consultant who is a specialist wanted to do the surgery anyway because he said they’re not always reliable showing endo on a scan so hopefully will get answers, I hope you do too xx
Hi! I had Laporoscopy 3 weeks ago. He separated my uterus from my tubes and ovaries. Ultrasound showed 6x4cm tumour on my right ovary but it was my organs stuck together. He took biopsies but did not do treatment as would like to see the biopsy results if there is any malignancy.
Most likely endometriosis spreaded to my bowel aswell. One of them is a 3cm lump.
My only symptoms was brownish discharge between periods after my vaccination and sudden pains on my right 2 weeks before my surgery. Plus period pain on first day and running to the loo 5 times on my day 1. Now I understand why. Because of the lump on my bowel and retroverted uterus.
Waiting for biopsy result... but started to to take NAC which been told to be good for endometriosis. ❤️
