So after waiting over a year and finally getting seen, to having my lap in January which got cancelled last minute. To ringing constantly to be seen I finally had my op date for today. They rang me up yesterday and cancelled again. So frustrating and just coming on here to rant.
Has this happened with anyone recently? I understand with Covid but has gone beyond a joke now!
Can't imagine how frustrating that is! Have they given you an explanation as to why? I was put on the lap waiting list and within a few weeks I had my op! That was April/May 2021 too so not long ago. Covid should not be given as an excuse!
So they basically said due to staff shortage on the theatre ward, I’m guessing one of the nurses/care team have went down and some have had to isolate that’s the jist I got. I’m just worried as when they said this back on jan I waited 6 months to get another date!! They said they will ring me within the next two weeks but I’m just past fed up now. I feel like it’s just a neglect of care and I feel like I can’t even do anything about it because they just use COVID as an excuse.
