I knew it was coming but when you get that call it’s so upsetting. Back to square one and the fight will begin again if I have any fight left. 😭

Sorry it’s been cancelled, not easy when the focus has been on getting answers and feeling better.

I’m not convinced they need to cancel all ops, hopefully it won’t be long and you’ll be first on the list

I know you are disappointed, but I think I am in the opposite situation and have to have an emergency one in the next day or so, in a hospital where there are 118 Corona positive patients. I am terrified of the op and terrified of the hospital. No visitors, will have to go through it all alone, without my hubby and my kids. So while you are disappointed, maybe it is better not to be weakened from surgery and expose to yourself to extra risks. I won't be going in unless my surgeon tells me that I absolutely have to.. but I have (another) intestinal obstruction and it is getting dangerous.

I’m in the same situation, was booked privately and the surgeon can’t fit me in as the hospitals are being prepped for NHS, it’s gutting as I did finally see light at the end of a very long tunnel. I’ve managed to get a batch of pain relief from the GPS and Awnsing big hugs xx

Mine was on Tuesday next week. Had my pre-op on the Tuesday just gone and cancelled on the Wednesday.

Mines been cancelled too. So close but so far away too. I happy it was cancelled as the recovery might have complications due to covid-19.

All nhs are cancelled from what I’m aware it’s so their expertise can be used to tackle the virus so your not the only one

.your not back to square one because when everything blows over it will be your turn to have your op back to square one does not mean you have to get a referral again!please try look on the bright side as someone else mentioned it’s probably for best at least your not exposing yourself to unnecessary infection or viruses 🦠 sending hugs x

Agree. I'm a key worker in health and social care so understand all to well the risks and need to redeploy resourcing. We will get there in the end xx

It’s sad that people have lost appointments but their needs to be some positivity on here everyone is acting like it’s end of the world and we’re not quite there yet !

i went ahead and cancelled all my appointments my son has been waiting almost a year and half to have braces fitted and I went ahead and cancelled because I don’t want to be exposed I’m not happy about going about life like that when theirs this virus going round my other son had an appointment for a tumour which is being monitored and I cancelled that myself also waiting a year . it’s not end of world nor are we back to square one I can’t be moaning about these things when people are dying because of this virus at least we’re not them we as endo sufferers know how it is to wait a few more month won’t hurt.
