For the first time today I was taken seriously by a GP!
My endometriosis has been horrendous this last week I normally go private and talk to a Gyney who understands. By my doctor who really listened and referred me to pain management. I felt like this was a real breakthrough for endometriosis patients.
Iv had 23 laparoscopy so far. When was 19 was told it was the pain ‘is in my head’ by a NHS doctor and I tried to take my own life. I vomit, bloat, upset stomach and the pain is awful.
I am training for the Brighton marathon and running for endometriosis! To raise awareness and make sure no girl is made to feel as I did!

Tomorrow.. .sorry, today, I'm due for my first laparoscopy at 12.30 (I'm 36) & it's been a long slog to get here. Lots of dismissive GPs & only got here because of my own research & help of the lovely ladies on this forum.
I had to reread your message because I thought I read your number of laparoscopies wrong!
I'm currently sat up in bed, balancing on my knees, feeling sick, trying to breathe through ovulation pains - stabbing pains in my bum, immense abdominal pressure, cramping in my thighs & a very noisy digestive system.
Thank you for representing us all so valiantly - I prayerfully hope that the general medical world wakes up & trains up for combating this awful disease.
