Mirena coil and leg pain

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice. I was diagnosed with rectovaginal endometriosis stage 3 in early April. At the same time as the laparoscopy, I had the Mirena coil fitted.

It has taken a while to settle down and I’ve had random bleeding between periods etc. Actual periods have been lighter though and other problems are better.

However, for the last three weeks I have had pain in my left leg near the calf and numbness. I’ve also developed lower back pain. I am wondering if this is the Mirena?

My consultant said this is not common with the Mirena. My regular GP said the same but other than this developing around about the time I had the Pfizer vaccine, I am a lost to explain this new problem.

Has anyone else had leg pain/numbness with the coil?

I had mirena’s in 2007-2021 and never had this.

But Astra Zeneca vaccine could have caused vaginal bleeding for me recently. Despite being on zolodex, tibilone and having a Mirena in.
