Endometriosis and palpitations (tachycardia)

Hey has anyone experienced tachycardia when on their periods or if it's worse when on your period?

Was it investigated by cardiology? What was their solution, if so, please?

My heart rate is reaching 190bpm whilst walking (for 11 minutes) during my periods. No issues on the ECG or Echo.

Thank you 😊

Hi, sorry to hear you going through this. I use to have this issue of the heart palpitation during my periods. It only stopped when i got my iron levels up. Not sure if there is an association medically but I was greatly anemic.once that got fixed it stopped. Do you feel tired very often?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I tend to feel tired (but that might be because of Insomnia). My iron levels have been checked and are middle of the range. I feel extremely tired and ill when the heart rate goes up. Baffling as I'm thin and active.

Hi I have been diagnosed with POTs about 8 years ago which is to do with palpitations, increased heart rate when standing up etc but I suffer with this every day it might be worth checking out for this. I saw a cardiologist for this. There is no solution for this and it’s not dangerous or anything! It can linked to endo x

Hello. Thank you for your reply. I will look into it, thanks. What did they do to diagnose you please?

They start off with an ECG I know you said they didn’t see anything with yours but it might be worth asking a specialist in this area to do one for you. Then an echo, something called a Tilt table test and an active stand test. To be fair it did take a while to diagnose me there are a lot of tests and appointments you need to go through as the area around this condition is not very well known. Maybe 8 years on they might have more knowledge. I have attached the link to the POTs website it might be worth reading it
