Yes , in the same boat.

The main medical support received from GPs in Febythis year : for endometriosis, there is nothing to be done as you are close to the menopause.

The nurse practitioner 3 weeks later in March: for endometriosis, nothing can be done, for interstitial cystitis, nothing can be done and for the perimenopause, very little can be done as you have a history of breast cancer in the family.

After years and years of pains due to endo, repeated cystitis, consequent infection from the over and repeated antibiotics prescriptions.

To-date, I have had a lap -8 months ago, was given the word of endometriosis, but no explanation as to what this illness is about.

To-date, 15 months later, I have received no treatment, no medical support for anything.

I wish you all the very best.x

Oh Anastasia that's awful. When I last saw endometriosis dept at NHS they said would be unlikely to do surgery on me due to me being close to 40. It's disgusting how women are just put to one side once we reach no child bearing age. The endometriosis still grows. I would highly recommend you get a second opinion. I assume they removed the endo either by ablation or excision during the lap.

If you haven't already, things you can try are changing to an anti inflammatory diet (this reduced a lot of pain for me) just google antiinflamatory

Pressed wrong button! Yeah often dairy and meat and soy can trigger us endo people off but find what foods you like in the lists of ant inflammatory foods and work them into your meals. Flax oil is also good. But there is no cure. Not yet. Many benefit from surgery but it should be with an excision specialist.

Happy to talk more if you want.

Thank you so much for your help and advice. I have put myself on an exclusion diet since May following the kind advice received from ladies from this site :gluten, dairy, soya, caffeine, chocolate dry beans brown rice ffee as I reacted to these foods also tomato puree and hot spices free due to a decade of repeated cystitis, all treated with repeated antibiotics that gave me secondary infections... Yes, I have also referred myself for a second opinion. Effectively, I am organising my own care as doctors tend to refuse to do this ive had a few arguments... I haven't seen them since July when I was advised by a lady GP, menopausal herself, who advised me to watch a You Tube video of Dr Brain 'Understanding your Pain', which I duly did but it didn't help me with the pain... They diagnosed me with IBS in Feb this year but never offered any advice, no treatment plan, so I deal with it myself, at least I know where I stand! It's pretty galling when I go to work, pay taxes to pay their much higher wage than mine for them to turn round and tell me that Nothing can be done... Is there any law that would enable me to stop paying taxes to the health care ad Im doing their job and buying my own remedies? Any suggestions welcome 😊

Isn't flax oil/seeds high in oestrogen? I tried Flaxseeds and it gave me the run (sorry, tmi) but this is how my tummy reacts to food +associatrd cramping and tummy ache. The anti inflammatory diet has defo helped reduced the pain and reaction. It's not fun when you empty yourself several times during the day, it's physically draining above all while being at work at the same time and having to keep a straight face.

Mixed views and info depending on how you have it. I think this article sums up how clear as mud the thinking on flax is in relation to endo.

I've just started having a low dose progesterone so I might leave the flax alone for a while as it seems to be doing me good (amazing) so I dont wanna mess with that.

It makes sense. As I found a lot of articles on the net contradicting each other, I experimented on myself and, bingo! My body gave me a straight answer : a big No No! I also tried Chia seeds, and although, the reaction was not as fast, thd8was still a reaction. So I stopped. I would only take it when I feel the drop in oestrogen is too low. 1 morning and I stop. It gives me the little bit of help that I need, but only sometime.

Thank you 😊
