Nothing is working anymore

Hi, just needing some advice. I was diagnosed in 2017 and have since been taking a vast range of meds. In July 2020, I was in A&E for multiple nights with pain and was told I may have Pelvic Inflammatory Disorder. I had antibiotics and everything but that pin has never gone away. At the moment, my painkillers aren’t working and I am desperate to request oramorph for when it gets bad but don’t think they will give it to me. On top of my usual painkillers I have a drs appointment to discuss the awful pelvic pain I’m getting which is almost heavy pain, feeling sluggish and sore all the time - I saw my pharmacist about this and am taking OTC Paracetamol/Codeine. I am also taking BC on top of my coil but I have bled every other day for two weeks. Any advice would be helpful? Please let me know anyways I can get my pelvis to chill the eff out!!!

Poor girl, I used hot water bottle on my pain it's just to soothe it , I got to that stage where no meds work, I went back to the doctors that's all you can do ask them for a scan or tests ect.

Sorry to hear you are in so much pain. I also got to the point where most pain killers had stopped working for me and requested oramorph to stop me ending up in A&E constantly, but the doctors wouldn't prescribe it, nor tramadol which I have been given numerous times before. I've now ended up on co-dydramol, I'm not sure how it is different to other paracetamol/codeine medications, but its been so much stronger and more effective than anything else - and kicks in fast. I also use diclofenac suppositories which can hold off the pain for 6+ hours, they are just painful to use if already in the height of cramps etc so have to try and catch the pain early. I don't know whether any of these would work for you, but maybe an option doctors are more likely to prescribe if they won't do oramorph. Hope this helps in some way!

Hi! I take Diclofenac now, as well as the suppository too! I’ve taken codeine, zapain & tramadol, mefenamic acid etc over the years 😔 Fingers crossed they’ll be able to sort something.

Pain and bleeding can be a rare side effect of the coil itself - perhaps have it checked/removed? Have you had a laparoscopy to diagnose/remove endo? You shouldn’t be in this much pain I’m sorry. Try to get a referral to a specialist!

Have you tried an anti-inflammatory? I take Naproxen. I had a coil and bled every day for a year, which was better than the pain I had without it but after a few years I wanted it out. It really didn't suit me.

I’ve previously taken Mefenamic Acid, Naproxen and now Diclofenac
