Hiya everyone. Hope everyone is well. I am still awaiting my laparoscopy, due to Covid no date on the horizon. In the meantime my surgeon has suggested I try zoladex injections. He’s told me to do some research and get back to him. Has anyone tried this route and if so I’d be grateful to hear your opinions and experiences please. Thanks everyone. Pip x

I had 2 courses of the injections. The first time I got them they completely stopped my period which was great I had 8 months of no pain and no bleeding but horrendous hot flushes. 2nd time I got them I was bleeding constantly although no hot flushes as my consultant gave me tiblone hrt to take while on the injections xx
I was due to have a hysterectomy in March last year but covid hit ... I've now been on zoladex for 18 months I've found it really good the pain has gone the hot flushes take a bit of getting used to but mine haven't been too bad ... i missed one injection and the pain came back within a couple of weeks I was so pleased to get the next dose I definitely prefer the flushes to the pain . My nurse did ask the gp if I should stay on them as I'd had over 6 months worth of treatment and she was happy for me to continue I know everyone's experience is different but I can say mine has been a positive one .. hopefully I'll get my op soon .. hope all goes well for you 😊
HiI've been on zoladex injections now since January 2020. Completely stopped the periods and pain within one month which was great. I was also given tibolone HRT to combat the symptoms of menopause so hot flushes etc, I have to admit it's working for me. Do your research though, I wasn't given that opportunity as my endometriosis is so bad that they needed to stop it getting any worse so got given the injection straight away.
Good luck, hope you find something that works for you.
Em x
I've been on Zoladex for 4 months now, and its really reduced my pain. I'd say it was worth it as a temporary thing while waiting for a laparoscopy. Then again, it impacts everyone differently so it really does depend on the individual x
