Laparoscopy query

Does anyone know if laparoscopy have started up again yet in UK? I'm awaiting like thousands of others, I was told to lose some weight before my op as they highly suspect bowel and bladder endo so almost 2 stone down still have a way to go but I know it will help and tbh since eating healthy the pain has died down just a little so i feel diet is proof as I was a very non believer that diet would change pain levels!

Well done on the weight loss that’s fantastic!

I’m on the list in Liverpool but,live in Newcastle.My consultant has continued to operate since we last spoke in October but,on a limited basis...

I can’t wait any longer as I’m crippled in pain so I’ve booked private at Spire Wirral next month...I’m now officially penniless!!

Defo call the consultant’s secretary to chase up your date as it can often vary from region to region..

Thankyou I'm also in Newcastle and referred to the RVI I think I'll call today to see if theres an update, I really couldnt do private and I feel your pain I just want it all gone I dnt even care if I'm left with a little pain but this pain is horrendous x

The RVI is brilliant and the team who look after you are the best.I’ve been in a few times and always had great care...

They are doing them on the NHS, mine is booked for the 19th April xx

Ooo they must have started them up again as they were stopped and thousands who were due were cancelled, this sounds promising I think I'll call tomorrow to see what is happening thanks 😊

Still nothing just on waiting list my pre op will need to be done again now but there will be a lot of others before me, how long have you been on the list and which area I'm Newcastle RVI and I've been told it normal circumstances you are seen and treated pretty quick but because of covid nobody knows how long the wait will be, great you have got yr appointment is it for pre op or surgery? You will have to keep me updated on how you go 😊

I have only been on the waiting list since 7th April, had my preop last week and surgery is next week.I know I've been super lucky!!
