I was diagnosed with endometriosis in November 2020, they removed a small amount of scarring around my ovaries. Since having my laparoscopy I've noticed some issues with my bladder... Sometimes I can go to the toilet and my underwear is already wet and I haven't even noticed it happen. I've spoken to my GP and she started going into pelvic flaw issues, but it just doesn't seem right as I don't even know it's happening.
They took a sample which came back all clear and I'm heading for an ultrasound in a few weeks.
Just wondering if this is something other people have noticed with endometriosis or post laparoscopy?

Hi, it's normal to have some bladder issues right after surgery, for about two weeks sometimes but yours doesn't sound normal as it's now about 4 months.
Are you on any hormones? Do you have normal cycles? Have you tried tracking it day by day in correlation with your cycle? Do your surgery notes include any mention of the bladder or ureters? Sometimes they move them round or tie them to the wall to prevent scarring / reduce chances of endo growth, Regarding cycles, some women find they produce a more watery discharge which feels like wee but doesn't have the same smell. It can be at certain times of the cycle which is why I'm wondering that. I have to use pantyliners all the time and sometimes when my discharge is very watery I need to change the liner up to three times a day.
I have the Mirena coil which they put in during my surgery. Cycles are all a bit up the air as I'm assuming my body is still getting used to the coil, they said 6 months minimum so I'm a little unsure about my cycle at the moment. I have been tracking the leak though.
I don't recall them saying anything about that after my surgery but maybe the hospital/doctors could look that up too.
I guess it could be that, it just doesn't really look or smell like discharge...
The Mirena should stop your cycles, so you shouldn't have any ovulation or breakthrough bleeds, although the side effects do list bleeding / spotting. Probably check out the side effects on the leaflet or look it up to see what correlates with how you feel. It can take I think about 6 to 9 months to get used to the hormones in the coil. Discharge can also change on hormones and could be very different to what you normally had, when mine is watery it really is like water and soaks through, doesn't have a smell or a feel to it, whereas urine smells . . well of urine. Sorry if tmi, perhaps change when that happens and leave it to dry then see; it'll be more concentrated so you can tell the difference.
You should be able to get your surgery notes from your GP, the surgeon usually sends a letter to your GP to add onto your records of what they did. You can email your GP and request the letter, or try calling in.
I hope it's not your bladder, those problems are annoying. You could try pelvic floor exercises to strengthen the area anyway - no harm in doing them - just google, we could all be doing with some strengthening down there! Discharge is normal though, may just require panty liners.
