Hey I have this problem not always but most nights. I don't know if I'm making it worse by thinking about it but sometimes I just have to keep going to wee!!! Sometimes 3 or 4 times between getting in bed and falling asleep and then sometimes in the night as well! Is this endo related?! Anything that will help?

Bladder issues
I have this too I can't hold it in ever and it's so painfull
Hi
I have this too and it always seem worse at night. Does it feel like you have a water infection? That's what it feel like for me but it's not as have been tested so many time. I'm going down the route of thinking it's intercystal cystitus (sorry not sure how to spell) as very common with ladies with endo? I don't want the surgery done to see if it is as once again there is no cure for it. I have endo on my bladder too so this probably adds to it? Have you got endo on the bladder? I found stress massively aggravates mine I've had a good few weeks where things are ok but I've been trying to cope wth my symptoms by really staying calm and de stressed as much as I can as I can honestly say it helps. I find the more I think about the worse it as and more depressed I feel. I've also found certain foods aggravate the weeing issues like citrus fruits like grapefruit and spicy hot food. May be try and see if cutting out anything like that's helps reduce symptoms. I think bladder issues are quite common with ladies and endo from what I've researched. Good luck and I hope your symptoms improve soon
Nikki x
Ah thanks I will try and see if there is anything that seems to make it worse!!
I have this too. And it's gotten so much worse after my 2nd lap.bladders don't like being prodded or aggravated by endo so they tend to act up. It's unfortunately a case of grin and bare it like everything else that comes with wonderful endo! Sorry I am not more help but you're defo not alone. X
I have this problem, I get up sometimes 4 or 5 times during the night and generally its painful to wee and there's a urge that I can't hold it in. I have quite bad endo and large nodules of it are on my bladder so I think when the endo is more inflamed it probably makes it worse for me.
Are you seeing a endo specialist? My endo consultant has been really good at sending me for tests to rule out other things like overactive bladder and interstitial cystitis. The main test for bladder function is called a urodynamics test, I had this done a few months ago and it showed my consultant that my bladder is smaller than normal and can't hold as much urine also my bladder and my bladder muscles spasm I think which causes the urge to urinate. They can put you on medication to strengthen your bladder muscles and you can also be sent for bladder retraining which is what I'm doing.
It might well be worth seeing if you can get a urodynamics test done
Good luck, I know first hand that its a pain to deal with.
Hi yes I have had the urodynamics test and that showed that I had a smaller bladder but sometimes it fine and sometimes it's not! I had a letter from my endo specialist explaining my lap results but I don't understand all the terminology. I'm currently awaiting a date for extensive excision surgery so I'm hoping that will help if it doesn't I will deffo push for more help with it.
OMG...
I am off to the docs this morning with yet another water infection. I sudden;y thought, could it be related to endo?....I come on here and see so many others experiencing the same. I hope there is someone on here who can advise of ways to help, as I have had enough.
Hope you all find ways to ease it.
Angela
Omg I just thought it was me that suffered with this I've stopped drinking a few hours before bed but doesn't help x
I currently have been dealing with this for the last few weeks, and I know that it is not a water infection. I had/have bad areas of endo on my kidneys and bladder. Before, during and after passing water I experience pain (and nausea). I end up having to take pain killers.
Interstitial Cystitis (IC), urine/bladder infections and candidiasis can all be behind these symptoms. Many women with endo suffer from these bladder related issues.
Endo can make us more susceptible to e-coli and vice versa. E-coli is becoming anti-biotic resistant so course after course of antibiotics will only provide short term relief before symptoms return.
I have heard of a product called d-mannose that can help protect the urinary tract but there doesn't seem to be much proof that it works. Only anecdotal evidence. I am using it at the moment.

Me too I have constant thrush and feel like I have a constant uti. I have endo on my bladder.x
Wow I always get thrush symptoms at the end of my period! I have been using this stuff called balance activ as soon as I start to feel that itch and if I use that for 4-5 days it usually stops it coming on properly. The doctor tested me and said it wasn't thrush. I just get sick of being passed off!
I'm currently being tested for endo & just y'day I had to have an external ultrasound which required a full bladder and I was in agony, so much so I was crying to the nurse (embarrassing). Being only 20 & not having any children I used to have quite good bladder control but now I have to run for the loo! I'm so stressed with all the ongoing tests so picking up on similar symptoms is some what reassuring. Does it hurt when you feel the urge to pee? & did your loss of bladder control come on out of no where? Also has anyone had the full bladder scan & found it ridiculously painful?
I can empathise with this - I've experienced a need to pee frequently for a while now. Really quite annoying! I agree that it's worse at night, and I'm finding that I'm getting up several times in the night to go to the loo (more frequently in the early hours of the morning). VERY disruptive of sleep, but if I don't get up to go to the loo, it's painful and I cannot hold it.
I've had Endometriosis diagnosed, and have had 4 lap surgeries to date. Luckily, I am now under a good Endometriosis Specialist (the problems I had with my previous Gynae are another story!). I've been able to explain my problems to my Endo Specialist, and he referred me to a Urinary Specialist to check things out. I recently had my first appointment, where they went briefly through my symptoms, took a urine sample and tested for infection (seems to be free of that, which is good), and arranged for me to have further tests.
I've been informed that urinary problems can be quite common amongst women with Endo. For some people, actual Endo growths on or near the bladder can irritate, and cause the urge to pee frequently. For other women (possibly including me), the fact that they have had several Endo surgeries near the bladder may cause irritation, and lead to what is known as a HYPERACTIVE BLADDER. This can also be common in women who are getting older, or are near menopause. It can cause symptoms such as an urge to pee frequently, leakage, a feeling of urgency or pressure on needing to pee, and a feeling of needing to pee when actually you don't.
As "Tina23" correctly says, there are things that can be done to investigate what is causing bladder problems, so don't feel you have to "suffer in silence". You could have Interstitial Cystitis, or a urinary infection, so it is always sensible to get issues like this checked out. Urodynamic tests are, as "Tina23" says, available and they help rule out potential causes. I have been booked in for this procedure, and frankly, I'm delighted. It's nothing too scary or invasive - you simply drink set amounts of water at set intervals, and when you have to pee, you do so on a special toilet that facilitates recording of frequency, quantity, etc. (I have also been asked to keep a diary over a few weeks to record when and how much I drink, and when I pee, and how much). Kinda gross, but hey, if it works!
There may be any number of reasons for your urinary problems - from cystitis, to peri-menopause - so it's perhaps best to have a discussion with your G.P., Gynae or Endo Specialist to see if it is possible to be referred to somebody who can help sort things out. As I said, you don't just have to put up with it. Urinary problems, once a cause is identified, can be sorted out via medication, surgery, physiotherapy/pelvic floor exercises... any number of solutions may hold the possibility of relief for you.
I wish you all the best, and hope that you find a way to address the issue. If it helps, try having a look through this (It's an American website, but seems pretty helpful and easy to understand)...

I had a full bladder scan years ago and had to stop her halfway thru as I just couldn't hold it any more. She said I drank too much ?!
