I was just wondering if any of you beautiful ladies suffer with their bladder. I have noticed a few times now that when my bladder is full I get a lot of pain and some time I find blood in my urine. I also find lately its hard to empty my bowel, it doesn't feel constipated just feels like I cant push ( sorry for over sharing). Could this be linked to Endo?
Thanks for reading , Sarah

I have exactly the same problems as you. I am lucky if I can empty my bowels at all and I am constantly going for a wee, the other day I was driving and went for a wee before hand but 20 minutes into driving I had horrendous bladder pains due to it being full. My GP has done me a referral to urogyne which was meant to be yesterday but due to the adverse weather conditions it was cancelled😦 x
I am like that, I will go then soon after I need to go again but its like one second I didn't need to then all of a sudden I am super desperate!! But its not like a wee loads. The pains are horrible and stop you in your tracks don't they? Did your GP feel it was linked to your Endo xxx
I didn't want to say it's endo as I'm not a doctor!
Also in my opinion if you go in thinking it could be a particular thing then your thought process will only look at that option, not realising there could be other illnesses causing the same symptoms.
I had pain and blood in wee from a urinary tract infection (actually quite common and not related to being unclean). And hard to empty bowel can be a dietary problem; the body develops an immune response to certain foods. Not to mention any of these could be the worst possible that we think of ...sometimes it's like searching on google!
I am already being treated for Endo, I was just wondering if anyone else suffered from similar issues as these are new symptoms for me, I know its not a UTI so I have already ruled out the obvious possibilities, Like I said I was just wondering if anyone else that has Endo finds these issues.
Look up interstitial cystitis, chronic inflammation of the inner lining of the bladder or painful bladder. Very common if you have endo but nobody seems to know why. It can only be properly diagnosed with a cystoscopy which is a camera into the bladder. Urogynae is the way to go if you can get a referral. Good luck.
I also find my pain worse when my bladder is full and at certain times of the month find my bladder to be really overactive. I'll go for a wee and within half an hour need to go desperately again. If I try to hold on I'm absolutely bursting and in intense pain which isn't great when you've already got horrendous cramps. When I had an ultrasound I was told I had an extremely fast filling bladder (had to go for a wee mid scan as I couldn't hold it in any longer and when they tried rescanning me 20 mins later my bladder had almost completely filled up and I was absolutely bursting again)
Wow, That's pretty spot on to how I feel. Certain times of the month are worse so there must be a pattern. Thank you for responding, nice to know im not alone xxx
Your welcome. Sometimes it's easy to feel like you're the only one feeling this way. Had a crazy overactive bladder today at work. Must have peed 8 times!
Hello, I think it's quite common for ladies with endo to get symptoms similar to UTIs - lots of websites list it as a symptom. I had bad pain emptying my bladder for about a week after most periods, along with urgency and frequency. I thought it was cystitis to start with until I realised how connected it was to my period. The symptoms got much worse about 3 years ago, and I started to have very little bladder capacity and needed to pee about every 20 minutes. I was sent for an ultrasound that showed a large ovarian cyst - it was an endometrioma. After this was removed (and I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis) the cystitis symptoms continued. They completely went when I was on 6 months of zoladex which confirmed to me that they were related to my endo. I now have a mirena coil fitted and take Cerazette back to back which means I don't have periods and don't have the bladder problems either. It's good that your doctor has referred you - I hope you find answers for you. I really appreciate how it affects the quality of your life when you need to be near a toilet constantly. X
Thank you so much for replying and sharing your story, Its not nice to feel you have very little control over your own body but its less lonely in those thoughts knowing your not alone. Its embarrassing. It sounds silly but if at least its connected (possibly) its not a separate issue and another condition to deal with.
