After really struggling and finally having my diagnostic lap in December I really thought I would get the answers I wanted. They found and removed adhesions on my right side and found that my bowel is stuck to my POD which she wouldnt touch. I was then told I was being referred to Gastro for this as I need another op.
However, I then found out that the referral hadn’t been done and I needed to chase this up myself 😡 after messing about I finally got my doctor to look into it which was 2 weeks ago and still nothing, so I’ll be chasing this up tomorrow.
During all this the bowel pain has got so much worse and the last week has been unbearable, stomach cramps, pain before and during bowel movement, aching hips and back, in agony during sex and bleeding very heavy during too. I have been trying for a baby for the last 15 months but I’m at the point now we’re I think it’s time to admit defeat and go back on the pill and stop this pain. I never had any pain whilst on the pill or the coil. It’s so heart breaking because it feels like I have no other option and no one wants to help.
Sorry for the rant just feel alone atm.

First off let me say I LOVE your hair and you are certainly not alone. Communication between doctors and different teams/hospitals is often poor and it's frustrating. Well done on chasing it up as this takes real strength, particularly when you are in pain and feeling frustrated with the whole system.
Are you with a Gynae centre from your lap? If so, I would try to get in touch with them again and ask for some help with pain management for the meantime. If not, I'd go back to the GP and again ask for some pain management advice.
I also suffer with stomach cramps, pain before and during bowel movement, aching hips and back. I've been drinking lots of water and watching my fibre intake which has been helping a little (looser stools cause far less pain for me!). I've also been drinking peppermint and ginger tea, which has helped settle my bloating and ease pain a little. For my back and hips I've been using localised ibuprofen heat rub, which stinks but sometimes helps. I've also been attached to my hot water bottle. All just make a small difference to me, but every little helps when you are in pain. I hope that some of those things might help you too.
Hang in there, you're doing a great job chasing everything up. Definitely speak to your GP again as you shouldn't have to live in this much pain!
Thank you 😊 my latest conversation with my gynaecologist was to take paracetamol and go back to my doctor.
I’ll try anything right now to try and help the pain it’s just so frustrating that no one seems to want to help and don’t acknowledge the fact that I want a baby and right now I feel my only option is the pill to stop the pain.
Hello. Sorry you’re going through so much and having such a dreadful time right now. I went on the pill many, many years ago when I was in my twenties, (I’m now 50) and though it did help a little with my pain, when I came off it after a decade, the pain came back with a vengeance. It was worse than ever. I tried everything, every hormone and every contraceptive and pain medicine. I know it’s probably not want you want to hear but maybe keep pushing for total removal of your endo now, with an accredited endo specialist surgeon. I wish I done things differently way back years ago when I was younger, rather than be in the position I’m in now and still suffering with my endo. There are ladies out here who’ve managed to get pregnant but way better to be rid of it now so you can enjoy the rest of your life. If that’s at all possible with this debilitating and utterly frustrating condition. Best of luck and sending a virtual hug. Nina.
