Devil's Claw alternative medication
Hi all, I've been on Pregabalin and Duloxetine for a while. This has some impact but still suffer daily pain. I use Turmeric massage oil which does offer some relief for a while. We have a local health care shop who has prescribed Devil's Claw which I have been taking for two weeks. I do believe it

Thoracic Endo - advice needed
Hi, I’m currently dealing with Thoracic Endo and could really use some advice from anyone else struggling with it. I had VATs surgery last year to treat a catamenial pneumothorax, but air still seems to be getting through holes in my diaphragm. My Thoracic surgeon has suggested having more major surgery

persistent pneumothorax
I finally had my procedure last Wednesday due to uncertain recent pet /ct changes ( had r lower lobe lobectomy and r upper wedge 5 1/2 years ago) at the scar site of upper. Bronch was completed with insignificant findings but Tumor board recommended to go in for surgery. Great news following surgery

I got my lung diagnosis after an excruciating wait, and it was a shock!
Hi there! I made a post earlier in the year about waiting for my VATS biopsy results. My experience was very unusual, but if it helps anyone else in future, I figured it would be useful posting it. Last year I was having palpitations, and was sent to A&E just as a precaution. I had a CT scan done

Final diagnosis uncertain - either cured or stage 4
Hello all, I hope you are as well as you can be. I am wondering if anyone has ever been in my situation. This is quite long - sorry. I have metastatic breast cancer in my bones (9 years) which have been stable for quite a few years. Routine CT picked up lung nodule - PET confirmed most likely lung

Lobectomy query
Hello, My Dad had a VATs Lobectomy earlier this week. He is doing well physically and is home. However, he is experiencing strange feelings in his chest which make him feel very anxious, making it difficult to sleep. He is not breathless, his lungs are clear and his movement/ walking is really good

Constrictive Bronchiolitis - Please Help Me
Hello, I am new here and I believe I have constrictive bronchiolitis. Here is my story: I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis in 2017 via VATS surgery. I never really understood how I got it. I originally went in to my doctor because I had bouts of GERD that woke me up at night with severe coughing

Wait time for surgical lung biopsy results
Hi there! I’ve been reluctant to join a forum as I don’t feel like a lung disease patient yet, I guess I’m in a bit of denial still. I don’t suffer from many symptoms really, and the ones I do have seem really mild compared to others. Last summer I had a CT scan on my heart which incidentally showed

Concern with my upcoming procedures.
Hi everyone,I am so very appreciative to have found this community as i am living the same experience that so many of you went throu and generously shared your story here. In my case 9 nodules where found by chance when a CT scan was done to get a calcium score of my artery. Turns out that 8 of them

Hi, has anyone elected to stop Methotrixate due to the side effects and inconclusive RA diagnosis. Decided to stop as side effects outweigh benefits! Has anyone then moved on to controlling inflammation with alternatives like turmeric, devils claw or Chinese remedies. There has to be an alternative

VATS update for all you beautiful people
I had an upper right lobectomy on 22nd of May and wanted to thank everyone for your pre and post operative support and suggestions for making recovery easier. I’m feeling so much better now although my remaining bit of right lung seems to be making mucus. I spend a bit of time coughing and spluttering
