Hi everyone, I am new here & this is my first post. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in June 2019 after being admitted to hospital for another issue & had a scan where 3 masses were found in my Abdomen. After numerous tests and 2 biopsies it was confirmed as endometriosis.
So far I have been having regular periods apart from this month. I started my period on the 28th February 2021 and haven’t stopped since. This is wiping me out - I feel drained, exhausted and want to sleep all the time. I had the usual stomach cramps for the first 3 days and it stopped but last night & today the pain has been awful. Has anyone else had this - as I am worried now as I’ve not experienced anything like this before. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Have you contacted GP? If you’re still under gynaecologist you could contact secretary to seek advice. GP can message consultant directly which may work out quicker. Either way you need to check what’s happening.
Hi Moon_MaidenThank you for your reply. I haven’t contacted GP yet, just wanted to see if any other ladies are going through this and was just seeking reassurance that this is normal for endometriosis . I will have to dig out my medical notes and get in touch with my gynaecologist.
So sorry you’re going through this. You sound like me.
I have a history of fibroids and heavy bleeding but was always kinda managed with the mini pill until last year has onset of spontaneous heavy bleeding with clots bigger than hand. This went on two months and eventually calmed with meds.
Now 6th month cerazette. Been okay. Expected spotting most of the time and light irregular periods lasting 3 - 4 days. Until this one. Stated 28th feb and still on !! Painful cramps throughout. Every damn day. Wiped from it.
Not sure if I have endo. I don’t think so. But my fibroids didn’t even do this at its biggest. So I really don’t know what’s going on. I was also constipated. Had worse stomach cramps with runs but that felt like a 24hr bug chucked in. I’m so tired all the time. And I’m sore from wearing pads constantly. My period went from brown to bright red and now it’s watery pink. Driving me mad !!
I’m waiting to see my gynaecologist to see what they say.
Hi CammiebabeThank you for your reply and so sorry you are going through this. Have you had any scans to check for any Endometriosis/Fibroids? I had a CT scan and that’s when they found 3 masses in my Abdomen and I then had 2 biopsies to confirm the Endometriosis. Maybe you could ask your gynaecologist to get a CT Scan to check & confirm what you have. I was on cerazette but my GP took me off them due to me being overweight. Am managing my pain with Naproxen interspersed with Paracetamol when needed. I know about the pain your going through and being sore from all the pads. Hope you manage to get it sorted and your gynae can assist you to a plan for some relief from pain & flow. Hope you feel better soon.
