Pregnant bleeding

I recently had unprotected sex while I was ovulating, my breasts have hurt aching and tender over the last 2 weeks I had the sex 17 days ago now , I was like 2 days late for my due period I kept testing and all have been negative, since coming on my slightly late period day (31 of cycle). My breasts have now stopped hurting and , I have only bled for 48 hours now it’s started as a spotting light pinkish colour then to brown/ dark brown slightly heavier flow for about half the day then back to light spotting brown colour when I wipe , I’m so confused it’s not a normal period, what shall I do as I tested again this evening after brown bleeding has massively decreased it was again negative, I am still only 17 days after sex so could it still be too early to tell or am I just overthinking all this, what do you reckon please, I bought 1 more test as it’s Christmas Eve and everything is shut tomorrow in case I want to do in morning but I see not point right now . None of us can give you a definitive answer because we're not qualified & can't examine/ test you.

The only way to be sure is to leave it a couple more days & test again first thing in the morning &/ or go to your GP with your concerns.

That being said, periods can sometimes be randomly lighter or heavier, depending on so many factors - from sudden weight loss & diet to stress & exercise etc.

All of the other symptoms you describe can be normal for some women during their regular (or irregular) cycles. I have started to get painful breasts throughout points in my cycle, over the last couple of years, but never used to get it at all. My cycle can be anywhere from 26 - 31 days.

It's probably most likely that you aren't pregnant as that amount of bleeding is unusual, especially with negative tests - a huge number of pregnancies don't actually make it past the date of the first due period & in most of these cases, the woman doesn't even know she has been pregnant.

Thanks your you’re response yea I spoke with my gp he said it’s unlikely but strange how I have missed a period when I had unprotected sex anyway he said retest and I have now and it’s negative so I will take that as I would have been 5 weeks pregnant and it’s negative so my mind played me a bit anyway I have complications have had bad pains and aches and few side headaches so back to gp soon I guess about endo has probably returned with vengeance. XxxX

It's unlikely you are pregnant with this amount of bleeding some people do have a show in pregnancy but it dosent sound likely in your case it sounds more like spotting which is common with endo id stop buying tests and try consult with a doctor if it is spotting there's very little to be done to manage it with endo the thing you have to treat is the underlying cause which in your case may be the endo.

Just so you know I have experienced bleeding which you have and it's the endometriosis I have no control over it unless I look for surgery there was one lady on here bleeds out her back passage and has done for 4 years and it's all down to the condition I also bleed out my back when on a period it's out our control unless we have treatment

Sorry to hear that, yes it retested negative again so I’ll take that , endo is obviously back with vengeance so I’ll focus on this again now it’s just horrible how mind plays you sometimes, thanks for your response XxxX

I totally understand how you feel because the bleeding is fustrating and can make you feel crap and unable to get on with things at the minute I'm pregnant so glad to see back of it and I'm considering the coil later just to stop the bleeding as I'm fed up of it I've decided against surgery so hope hormones will work for me but endo gets worse for me each month
