Hi Laura! Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am not an expert but I believe spotting is quite common during pregnancy, especially in the early weeks. So try not to worry, maybe give your GP a call to be safe. I've also read that although endo makes it harder to get pregnant, once you are pregnant endo doesn't affect the pregnancy chances much. So try to keep calm for now until you have spoken to someone who can tell you more :) xx

Hi feather. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I phoned the GP and he said the same, can be completely normal and it hasn't got any worse so fingers crossed for now 😃

Firstly, congratulations Laura! It sounds like it could be in plantation bleeding and is very common and nothing to worry about-just keep an eye on it and if you're worried, contact your GP but unfortunately at such an early stage of pregnancy they wouldn't be able to tell you much. It is possible to have early scans for reassurance but unlikely this is necessary for you.

Conceiving so quickly isn't unusual especially after surgery or treatment, l also conceived after 3 months following surgery and 6 months of hormone treatment at with stage 4 at the age of 31. My doctor told me the treatment etc was rebooting my fertility and l would be at my most fertile following the surgery etc. Unfortunately, we lost our first baby but 3 months later l conceived again and am currently nursing my 6 week old son at the age of 33 so it can happen! Stay positive, hard as it sounds (l was a nightmare-worried constantly throughout!) try not to worry and anything you are unsure of get checked-doctors and midwives get asked all sorts of things so if it puts your mind at rest-just ask.

I wish you lots of luck and congratulations again. Look after yourself xx

Thanks Jakey,

My gyne was very doom and gloom about falling pregnant, so I was amazed when I fell so quickly! Congratulations on your son too 😀 hope everything went smoothly for you and both mum and baby are doing well.

It seems to be resolving abit now so fingers crossed it's just implantation! I was so worried!

Thank you xxx

Hey, you need to phone your local hospital's early pregnancy unit (epac) and get seen asap (if they think it's necessary - they'll ask questions such as colour, flow of bleeding etc.). It's good to know about them anyway in first trimester.

Bleeding like this is very common in early preg - cervix becomes more vascularised and can bleed. It'll most likely clear up. Implantation bleeding is only circa 3-5 wks depending on when you ovulated.

Any bleeding needs to be attended to. Gp will probs send you for a scan or further consult at epac anyway so just go direct it's quicker. Endo pregnancies are higher risk esp in first and third trimester so should be monitored more closely. Xx

Hi, I had this with both (2) of my pregnancies. It's implantation bleeding. Mine were both at the 6 week mark. I was very scared the first time. The second time around I had a lot more bleeding and felt it was best if I went to the emergency room. I had a tear in the placenta, but it healed on its own and I had no complications the rest of the pregnancy, and a healthy baby. You know your own body. If it feels bad or painful, definitely go get checked out. Congratulations and good luck :)

Thank you ladies... I think the brown blood was just implantation, it started to settle but unfortunatley I started having heavy cramps and bleeding yesterfay & had a misscariage 😢 but I'm just over the moon that we were able to fall naturally and also on my 3rd cycle! So staying positive and hopefully will fall again soon! Fingers crossed 🙏 xxx

Hey, so sorry to hear you've gone through this. You're completely looking at things the right way though, fact you fell preg quick is very good indicator that things will work out. We had two mc, very simililar scenario, early on, spotting turning to bleeding. Third time lucky, preg is going well. Keep the faith and take care of yourself, your time will come too. Xx
