Hi, I'm 58, and while in my late 40's I had a scan and they saw a small ovarian cyst. As I was living on a small Caribbean island at the time, the response was different I guess than if I'd been in the UK. I was given a course of iron tablets - that's all. I took pain killers, as I had quite a bit of discomfort with it. I think there were also some fibroids at the time too. I had no treatment for either things. Then basically I just stopped having any symptoms, so I can only guess that it shrank back somehow, to not be a nuisance any more. I think I only felt the odd twinge now and again, as far as I can recall. By the way, I've never been pregnant or had children.
Fast forward to last weekend, and I had a constant feeling of wanting to pee all day, and some pain in that same area. So I'm just wondering if the cyst had flared up again, or (what I'm more inclined to think) that it might have been a bladder infection. I drank a lot of lemmongrass tea, went to bed, and woke up feeling fine the next morning, thankfully.
