Bleeding every 2/3 weeks

Hello was wondering if I should be worried I am on the mini pill to stop periods but recently I am having bleeding and period pains every few weeks, I am still taking the pill and wondered if this is right. Hope someone can help I’m worried

Hi! I’m also on the mini pill (have been for 1 and a half months now). Since starting the pill I have had 11 days of not bleeding (a block of 5 and a block of 6). I was advised by my doctor that the mini pill can either cause irregular periods or no periods at all and that it takes a while to settle down. So I wouldn’t worry too much to begin with. My doctor gave me an initial 3 months worth of the pill and advised that I go back towards the end of my third month and discuss it with her, as it can take some time to settle down! I hope that helps, and I totally understand how you feel because I worry that things aren’t right too but I have been assured by my doctor not to worry!

Hello thanks for reply I have been on them for about 8 months no issues but just recently over last few months on off bleeding, it is worrying yes as I keep wondering why now..but I will keep going with it and see what happens

I've just recently come off Cerazette which did this to me, I bled for like 10 days then had 6 days off then bled again for 10. Even when I was taking it daily as you're supposed to, I still had periods and really bad cramps and PMT like my body needed a period to happen. It's no for everyone but I stuck it out about 9 months so I could say I gave it a good go x

Yeah I have been on my pill for about 8 months and only recently had the bleeding issues, have you changed to something else now ??

She tried to put me on something similar but I chose to come off everything and I think it was the right choice for now x

Ok, thanks for reply to my message it is worrying me thinking something is going on, I’m not in any pain just bleeding like a period every few weeks
