Wait times?

Hi everyone,

Wanted to ask how long you had to wait for laparoscopy? Due to COVID I'm worried it's going to take ages and I would like a diagnosis.

I’m on the wait list for my second lap and been advised it won’t be this year as wait time is around 6 months.

So I had the exact same worries.

To give toy an idea and hope this is reassuring - I went on the waiting list in March (literally the week or so before lockdown but) and then I got a call start of August saying they could get me in on the 19th August.

So I’ve had my laparoscopy and they found endo and removed it!

Thanks! I’ve been quite persistent and got the number for outpatients at the JR in Oxford. She said this year is looking unlikely and just to keep ringing every 6 weeks as things can change. Just got health insurance at work and won’t be able to have this done quicker by going private due to the fact I’ve had symptoms for along time. Very frustrating indeed. Hope you’re feeling great after your lap! X
