Depo

Anyone been on the Depo injection? I’m due to come off end of October but figured I’d just stop now and not have my next one - concerned it’s giving me bad symptoms. Am I ok to come off without a Doctors say so??

Any advice or Depo experience greatly appreciated!!

Hi I was on the depo for 2 years was great for me stopped my periods I would speak to your gp if you want to stop it x

It’s been an absolute godsend for me not till the last six months where sex is unbearable - just wanted to eliminate Depo as the cause as I’ve seen a few people saying it’s caused them painful sex! Thanks tho x

Not yet, going to come off and let my body reset and see how bad my endo is without treatment x

Sounds like a good idea I did it for around 7 months then needed to go on something else due to endo x

Yeah, I’m gonna see what they diagnose and what they recommend as treatment and go from there!!x

I was on it for years at 16/17, didn’t want to come off it but had to as they think risk to bones. I’ve just recently asked to go back on it. Got it last week. Actually can’t wait to have no periods 😂 can’t remember having any bad side effects last time (other than weight gain) and trying not to keep an eye for things this time round as I’m a hypochondriac 🤣

Haha, I’ve never had any side effects either except slight weight gain! Just interesting to read that some women had painful sex on it so wanting to rule the Depo out as a cause!!x
