Depo injection mood

Hi , I have had the Depo injection a week ago. Feeling really emotional, do have some flushes. I’m off work again as so tired and emotional. I’m on HRT , do I have to give this more time. Any positive stories?

Hi, there will be lots of mixed stories I’m sure about this treatment. Depo has been a life saver for me. I have been on it for a long time and it completely stopped my bleeding which was the worst symptom for me. I’m gutted that I can’t have it at the moment due to no face to face appointments due to corona virus risk. Have you been advised you can still continue with the treatment? It might take a little while for your body to adjust? I hope things gets better for you x

Thank you for your reply. I’ve been told by my gp, that it’s a massive amount of hormones. It’s got it’s positive as I am not in pain. Last month I was on oramorph.

I have coping mechanisms but difficult to do in this current situation. There’s a bonus I’m not in pain . I’m on it for 3 months and HRT does work , have a few hot flushes . I’m going to stick with it. Also my gp practice counts my 2nd injection as essential. It’s to treat a cyst and my Endo , fingers crossed it works.
