First Period after Laparoscopy

Hi all,

So I am no a week post -op, and I am about to expect my period for the first time.

Like many, I’ve always struggled with periods and I am really worried about having this one, as many have said the first is the worst!

Was just wondering how others experiences were after having the laparoscopy, and what helps make it a better experience?

I had my first lap about 5 weeks ago. My first period after was about 2 weeks later and it was fine! Nowhere near as badly bloated and no more painful or heavy than normal. Hope it all goes ok, take ibuprofen and paracetamol two hours after and use a hot water bottle. That’ll help.
