Hlw ladies

I have done my surgery 27 th july. From the last night,I developed surgical emphysem, as I had severe endometriosi, my surgery took almost 5 hrs.So gases entrapped in my lungs and throat.I am under now observation. But I am feeling some respiratory discomfort.but dr said it would go away automatically

Can you give me any suggestions that could help me for early recovery .Or anyone has the same problem after laparoscopy.?

I had the same when I had my op in March 2019. The laparoscopy had to be converted into laparotomy as I suffocated in the op. I then stayed in hospital for 5 days.

Try to walk as much as possible and peppermint tea. Good luck and just try to keep moving.

So sorry to hear about this. I took deflatine which helped but I don't know if that helps with the lungs. I would also recommend peppermint tea and even camomile tea which can help to calm. i hope you start to recover soon, sending healing thoughts xxx

I just bought it over the counter. And I didn't have the same complication so I can't say if it will work for that but it did help to minimise the gas. Good luck and you'll be getting the best care they will know what to do and have the means as well. Take care xx
