I’m currently 28, struggled with Heavy painful period since the age of 11 when I got my first. Suffered with pcos and had struggles with fertility, I’m lucky to have 3 gorgeous children. Since January 2020 things have taken a turn for the worse 😫 many doctors appointments, numerous trips to a+e, 2 hospital stays. countless urine samples, blood tests, swabs and examinations. A scan, X-ray & a smear test.. and nothing obvious found. In so much pain daily. Severe stomach cramps, bloated, backache, leg pains, nausea, head aches, groin pain & unpredictable bleeding in between periods. Last time at the doctors (when I finally got an appointment with the doctor I wanted to see), she saw the state I was in, and told me it certainly sounds like I’ve got endometriosis. I thought, Finally someone hears me out. She referred me back to the gynaecologist and said it’s likely I’ll be for a laparoscopy. But.. now with the coronavirus it’s obviously all been out on hold. Can’t seem to find relief with pain killers, and feel like I’m constantly struggling to cope in agony 😢

I don't have any advice I'm afraid but I just wanted to say that I hope you get your surgery soon and it helps relieve your pain.
When you have had symptoms so long with symptoms worsening it can be a sign that endo is gradually progressing. The symptoms you describe of back, leg and groin pain with intestinal symptoms often indicate endo on the uterosacral ligaments. Sex will usually be very painful, especially when deep. This is the most common location for endo but is also the location where endo can become deep - symptoms are predominantly left-sided but not always.
It is vital that you see someone with expertise in diagnosing endo and not just a regular general gynaecologist There is a clear treatment pathway to be followed.
I run a UK endo guidance group that helps women access the care they should be getting based on UK guidelines and standards. Will pm. x
Hi,
I know you were probably looking for advice, but I just wanted to tell you that I am currently experiencing the exact same thing as you. My laparoscopy has been placed on hold due to the corona virus and I am seriously struggling day to day just to function. I too suffer with the stomach cramps, bloating, backache, leg pains, SEVERE nausea, headaches and so on. I feel like it'll never end... hang in there, you're not alone xx
