Odd question maybe??

(Writing from the US because we don’t seem to take endo seriously over here.)

So, I’m sorry if this is a very awkward/odd question but do any of you have days where you urinate more frequently? It doesn’t matter what/when I eat/drink, there are just some days (today!!) where I just...urinate every hour! Is that weird??

No this isn’t odd. I can go for a wee 5 times in one hour and can also need a wee after weeing. I did have endo attached to my right ureter though. Perhaps you are suffering with the same thing. I know it’s not UTI as it doesn’t hurt, not burning just frequent need to wee x

Hi, sorry to say but I dont think endo is taken seriously anywhere 😔 I'm in the uk, but to answer ur question no ur not weird, I find some days I go every 10mins and then other days I can go hours with out needing too wee, endo is definitely a strange thing to have and everyones symptoms are different! Hope this has helped and good luck xx

Endo is not taken seriously anywhere and people do urinate often it could indicate endo pressing on a nerve near your bladder

Your not weird. It’s the one symptom that hasn’t been quite as bad since lap. Last year I was going every twenty minutes a lot of the time. I eventually sussed that sitting upright made it worse, i.e. office chair. Kept thinking it was uti, but that was only positive a couple of times.

Hope you get sorted soon.

Omg you are all so helpful thank you!!! I’ve always been teased by family and friends for needing to pee (you call it wee and I like that better) all the time. Road trips, flights, classes, going to the movies...I always have my ritual pee time. I’m going to be a teacher, and they’re usually never allowed to do anything human lol..but now that I know it’s most likely part of my endo, I have something to work with! Also...I’m just glad to know I’m not the only one with “wee days”!!!

Hi I used to wee all the time B4 my laperoscopy and straight after I noticed that I when I do wee I seem to empty my bladder fully I wondered why this was now reading your replies I know it was the endo, the lap worked mostly so only have the pains a few times in the day instead of all day long which is fabulous hope you get through this terrible disease and feel some what better xx

Yes definitely... But I have always attributed that to hormone cycle. That causes us to retain water at certain times and then release others. Like when you're heavier and bloated around your period. Thats usually when I can't stop peeing. Lots of My friends who don't have endo say the same thing though

Hello.

I have stage 4 endo and I also have to wee all the time.

I’ve recently seen a urogynaecologist who gave some tips which have helped reduce it a little.

There’s a supplement called d-mannose which she recommended.

Also to follow an alkaline diet (google have lots of info on this)

Avoid anything acidic or spicy as it irritates the bladder.

Avoid any sugar free drinks containing aspartame or fizzy drinks or caffeine.

I am awaiting a couple of procedures to remove any endo inside bladder and also to stretch it but they won’t be for a long time due to COVID situation.

In the meantime the above tips have certainly helped a bit.

The consultant advised that the bladder doesn’t like being disturbed and if you’ve had any surgery involving even just touching it or the urethras let alone removing any endo from the surface or it can impact it forever.

Wishing you the best of luck and relief xxx

Thank you so much for all the tips!! I will look into those diet changes and the supplement! I think this covid thing makes it hard for anyone enduring pain...I hope that this goes away quickly so you can get your procedures done!!

I was recently diagnosed with adenomyosis (in addition to endo). This means my uterus is bulky and because it is antiverted it is pressing down on my bladder.

Could it be the same with you?

not weird at all. Everytime I try to go to my kitchen I need to go. Even without hearing liquid or water. Its like the minute I get in the kitchen whether its for cleaning, cooking, etc I gotta go.

Not what you're looking for?
