I hope this makes sense, where I work we only have one staff toilet so sometimes I have to wait to be able to go, does anyone experience severe pain if they have to wait to urinate, also I have found that the last two times this has happened to me the following days I have been an absolute mess bleeding severely in excruciating pain and finding it hard to carry on.
Does anyone else have this? It’s a real struggle in particular at work where there is only one facility.
Thank you xx

Yes all the time!! I'm currently not diagnosed but my urinary symptoms completely threw the doctor's off & I was referred to urology who found everything to be normal taken years for my doctor's to start thinking it's endo! I had an ultrasound today where I had to have a full bladder & the pain was horrendous & it burnt so bad when I eventually peed! I always have blood in my urine. You're definitely not alone with this one & for me it's one of the worst symptoms. I work alone a lot & I'm constantly running to the toilet with random urgency to go makes work a nightmare! Luckily my boss is really understanding but me & my husband are currently discussing me quitting work until I get this all under control because everyday is a struggle & I come home with no energy to actually do anything other than sleep I hope it gets better for you! Diclofenac has calmed this symptom for me quite a bit if that's any help x
Yeah i get bladder pain, burning urine, urgency to go, needing to go all the time. They kept telling me it was urine infections even though no infection was present. When I finally got to urology they did ultrasounds & i went under general anesthetic to have a rigid cystoscopy all normal xx
Why did they do a rigid one what’s the difference i been refered but don’t know what they sending me for yet I didn’t wanna be put too sleep I like to be awake I’ve got bad anxiety have u tried the mini pill see if it helps in case it is endo I used to think it was endo but I get bladder pain and need toilet a lot sometimes no burning
Rigid you have to be put under for, flexible you're awake. Flexible they just use to look inside but if they find anything they can't treat it, whereas rigid they can just go ahead & treat it. It's not too bad just the first few wee's after are stupid painful so be prepared for that
I face a lot of urinary symptoms as well. I am currently undiagnosed and awaiting ultrasound etc. My bladder can’t hold urine for long and when I go to the toilet I have to go back shortly after as my bladder never fully empties. It’s such a nightmare 🙁 also in same position of you with only one toilet!
Yes, I have been struggling with this too! I had my first lap 3 weeks ago and although the pelvic/back pain is gone I am still experiencing bladder issues. I’ll be asking my dr about it during my follow up.
I’ve had ultrasound normal they said could be endo but I don’t have heavy periods and the pain not that bad on period I asked for a cystopy camera to look at bladder I don’t want a lap as people still have problems after so I on mini pill see if it helps with pain
Before my laparoscopy i was constantly needing the loo. My bladder just couldn't hold anything. Then discovered the massive cyst on my right ovary was pushing right into it. What a difference after the Lap, bladder relief straight away. However, I do seem to be taking urine infection alot. Hate this condition!!xx
Thank you all for your replies and sorry to hear you are all suffering as well, I am under the urologist currently he has done several tests I am awaiting a diagnostic camera where I’m put to sleep but he’s certain everything will show clear like all the other tests then it’s back to square one, it’s so painful and not much warning before nearly wetting yourself I too have a very supportive boss sometimes it’s very difficult only having one toilet facility and having to stand there trying to hold it in being doubled over in pain and not knowing what to do for the best xx
Hi, I’ve been having progressively more bladder issues over the last few years. Didn’t realise I wasn’t emptying well until I had an MRI just after i had been to the loo and they noted my bladder was full.
I now have to really push to empty but it has made things better and worse. Better in that I don’t have as many infections as emptying and nasty things aren’t hanging around. Worse in that to do this I have to really push and this ALWAYS hurts! Depending on where I am in cycle it is horrendously painful (I have deep pelvic pain throughout my cycle).
I have found cutting out alcohol and caffeine helps generally with the urinary inflammation and also drinking lots of water to flush yourself through.
Had big clots in urine years ago and they did cameras, etc - would defo recommend being asleep! They didn’t find anything, but wasn’t endo diagnosed then, so treated me with three months antibiotics.
