Anyone suffer from bad under rib pain weeks after laparoscopy for endo?
I had a major inflammatory response with crazy bloods for week after the surgery, CRP, Platelets very high for weeks on end, severe pain, but no fever and blood pressure ok (so no bowel perforation likely). CT, Ultrasound show no obstruction but after Dr. Googling myself too much, I wonder if I have an adhesion(s) caused by the surgery? I am mostly better now, eating again, cycle has returned, but I am left with cycles of a very very severe stitch pain, only felt when I move or breathe deeply (which...is pretty necessary in life). When it flares (as over last few days) I struggle to walk, talk, breath deeply, I can't exercise, and sleep is impossible unless in very odd positions propped up by pillows. Gynae has washed hands of me essentially saying whatever is wrong is not Gynae. A gastro is doing CT colonography in two weeks. I do know I have an acute angle in my bowel after it was moved during surgery when gynae removed a bowel adhesion from endo. As a result, colonoscopy was not completed as gastro couldn't get past my sigmoid colon.
Ultimately, I'd never had a pain in my abdomen (except bad period cramps with bleeing) until after this surgery so it has to be a consequence.
I feel so alone in this right now, I know people are worse than me but surely someone else has had similar or maybe has ideas of what route I can go down with medical questions? Thank you!

Your still healing lovely I had those stitch pains after open abdominal surgery all what you describe is internal healing as for sleep I sleep like that with endo anyway remember your body hasent figures out yet that endo has been removed I’m sure you will be able to sleep better in a few months please stop stressing and get some rest x
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. It's so hard to trust that it's still healing and not panic that something is wrong or the inflammation which finally calmed down is happening again. Great point too on my body still being in 'endo' mode even with it gone as such. Hope you are well! x
Sorry I don’t have experience but wanted to say I understand the sheer panic and awfulness of undiagnosed pains, and chest pains can be very frightening. I’d say please go to the GP and talk to someone who will listen, get some pain relief for sleeping and check this is normal for recovery.
Hi, thanks for replying. I am off to my GP tomorrow for some advice. Until now, I've been going through the consultants but in some way, GP is better, they know my history, know me for years, know me a little more as the person as well as the patient. Hope you are well x
Hello! I had severe pain in my right ribs after my laparoscopic cystectomy 2 weeks post op. I called the gyne clinic and they wanted me to go in straight away as they were concerned it could be a blood clot - however, they checked my obs, bloods, etc and nothing was showing. The DR wasn't concerned after seeing me that it was a blood clot and said that pain in ribs is often because you're starting to use muscles you haven't used for a while as you're resting xx
Hi, thank you so much for the reply. I am happy to say I am feeling better, these bouts of under rib pain have passed. I think you are right, partly muscles which were not used at all for so long having to wake up again. For me, I also discovered I am getting constipated a lot even though I don't feel it. The first big turn in your colon sits under the right rib (as does another under left rib) and this would not have helped with pressure on sore and tight muscles too. Hope you are feeling well again and taking it easy during your recovery. It's scary to think everything went well and then become suddenly ill or in pain and not know what is wrong. Take care!
