Pain in ribs/ lung during endometriosis pain

So this is basically in the title but I’ve started to experience lung/rib pain during my bad endometriosis/period days alongside shortness of breath

Would anyone know what this means or why this is happening

I am also getting an ache intermittent under my right rib it seems the pain is travelling a bit higher than before. Having a lap soon so I will mention it. I have asthma too.

I’m in exactly the same situation I also have asthma and am waiting on surgery with seemingly travelling pain haha but micr yo know I’m not alone

I have this and no answers yet but it got so bad my chest near my heart got inflamed I had to put a warm compress on it like I do my pelvis.i also have trouble doing anything physical so far I’ve had an ecg what’s normal and blood tests for thyroid but I know it’s endo I mentioned shortness of breath to endo specialist but he didn’t seem concerned and thought it might be pain said when in pain you cramp up more which makes you struggle to breath but since now it’s got worse I can’t see it being that so am still having investigations I can’t even run gently without my whole diaphragm hurting like hot rocks

i feel you! i hope you get answers soon!! I had asthma as a kid and it went away when i was 10 and now a year ago (around 10 years later) my asthma came back and i have horrid lung/rib pain with my cycle! no answers yet either and no healthcare professionals seeming overly concerned

That’s a thought I had asthma as a kid didn’t know it could return like that would I need any testing to see if I have it again x

you can get an asthma review done at the GP. Certain environmental things can bring your asthma back for me it was mould in my flat and bad pollution but it can affect your cycle once it comes back !

well not affect your cycle but more so be affected by your cycle

I think for me it’s pollution just lately I can’t tolerate a lot of things especially commercial cleaning products I have to use natural things I can tell when I’ve been using vinegar then go back to dettols cleaning brand and I used to think it wasn’t strong till I cut it out and started using vinger funny cause it wouldn’t have bothered me at one point I can’t even use bleach but feel like since this virus thing I have to use bleach to fully get rid of germs but it kills my chest even when it’s diluted I never use it neat and it still gets to me.a lot of shampoos I find strong aswell and barley use those things. I’m really sensitive to even fuel

I didn’t get this until my endo symptoms started I had asthma as a baby never had these issues in my life though I’ve heard endo can get on your diaphragm and I haven’t even got a referral accepted yet already waited a year since onset of symptoms

I keep getting pain in my ribs and lung area during the night. Also my pelvis, back and legs. I have quite severe asthma and take 3 inhalers and tablet medication for it. But I’m certain it’s not my asthma as my breathing is fine. Could be endo pain as you ladies have suggested! I’m due on my period any day and have had this pain for around a week now. X

yes!! i get this too and it gets worse for me around ovulation/pms/period

Hi mam417 , I am also having this the last few months almost hurts to breath almost as if its in my diaphragm/ lungs so much pain.I am waiting to see a endo specialist and another op been waiting 5 month since last appointment. i was diagnosed officially in March with it in my bowel,bladder,kidneys and womb. But they only attempted to remove abit from my womb with no relief Starting to wonder if it spread 🤔 . Hope you get some help soon this not being listened to and being told to just wait is so lonely,hard and depressing xx
