Just been for my first fertility appointment of the year, we both agreed it would be sensible to having the surgery, been in more pain than usual lately.
She’s requested a scan for me, so she can check the size of the cyst before anything and booked my op date there and then.
Although I want it done I am so scared. I have anxiety so this isn’t going to help.
Any advice or tips would be appreciated x

Hi chloe I’m glad you’ve got an op date that sounds positive.im sorry you have anxiety the best thing is to try not to think about it too much and try refocus on other things and keep busy I’ve not had a lap yet so not sure on the whole experience I’m sure someone will come along to help x
We have been in contact before, I was the same and nearly didn’t go through with it about 15 mins before procedure I was so scared. Thankfully I did as the endo was quite aggressive, if I had put it off things would of got some much worse. The most difficult part was recovery and I don’t mean physically I mean mentally and the depression that sets in. It took about 6 weeks for me to start to feel better. I wish someone had prepared me for how I would feel after and to let me know I would eventually start to feel like myself again. This is a common side effect so just be prepared and make sure you have lots of motivational people around you as you recover x
Hi Chloe, really please you now have a plan. Try not be be anxious about it. I had an op to remove 2 cysts and all went well. To be honest the worst of the pain was in my shoulder as the gas can travel that they use but after that it was just taking it slowly and not over doing things. Felt. Good after a couple of weeks. Just think of all this pain you have gone through and hopefully this op will help with that.Give me a shout if you want to ask me anything xx
