Me again!

Just curious if anyone else after a lap has woken up multiple times in the night/ early hours feeling extremely sick with severe cramping, full body sweats but also shivering at the same time? 🤢 I feel so nauseous it’s unbelievable... I’ve been up 3 times so far since 10pm just getting ready to throw up but nothing happens... the night before I had a bad upset stomach but that seems to of passed now and it only happened yesterday not the previous nights. It passes after a while so I manage to have some water and just lay back down so I’m not massively concerned but just wondering if anyone else suffered the same? Only during the night though which is the weirdest and it’s been every single night so far..

thanks!x

I too feel very nauseas and it's always from late afternoon, into the evening. My cramps always seem to start before lunchtime, through to the evening, unless I've got my period then it's 24/7. I'm never actually sick, but I am also really bloated and very gasy.

I currently have a coil fitted (7 weeks in), so I'm not sure if it's a side effect from that, as I didn't feel this bad before.

Do you take any meds hormone treatment?

Oh god really? 😔 yeah I think I’m on my period as well as the bleeding has gotten heavier and I’m extremely crampy so that is probably playing a part in it, I was sick last night but before that it’s usually my mouth waters like crazy and I’m just hanging over the bowl waiting to be sick but nothing happens other than that 😣

I am on tramadol and naproxen but no hormone treatments as my surgeon didn’t discuss going forward with any of this and hasn’t arranged a follow up which my GP is rather angry about because she doesn’t really know what to do from now on🙄

If you have a fever or a raised temperature, you need to get it checked out, because it could mean an infection after the lap. Don't go back to the GP if possible, you need to be seen by somebody from the dept that did the lap (gynaecology or whatever). xx

I’ve sent an email to my specialists secretary just explaining my current situation and how I’m feeling and also the burns on my stomach so hopefully he should arrange a follow up to see me soon xx

Good! I suspect you may need to chase on the telephone. Hope you feel better soon and they sort you out! xx

Just had them call me (extremely shocked at the speedy reply) and he’s arranged for me to go and see him at a different hospital on the Tuesday the 10th of March at 11:45 to have a good look at my belly, the incisions, the infected one and the burns which he said are definitely bruised which I find rather strange as I’ve never had bruises that have scabbed over? But yeah he’s going to discuss with me properly what’s been done and where to go from here, he booked it at the end of the clinic so he won’t have to rush with me which was nice as well xx
