Hi everyone. Does anyone else suffer with hot sweats with endo? I literally only have to walk downstairs and sweep the floor and I’m dripping with sweat like I’ve just sprinted for 5 miles! I don’t mean just a bit hot and sticky.. I have sweat dripping down my face and neck. It makes me feel so gross and unclean! I’m 25 so not menopausal. I’m not sure if it’s a hormonal thing or medication but I hate it! It’s never at night either, only through the day. Anyone else? I’ve had blood tests and thyroid and everything is fine.
TIA

Hi, yes i get night sweats when my endo is flaring. Has been so bad i was checked (bloods) for early menopause. Worse at night time for me but i do get ‘overheated’ through the day too.
That’s exactly how I feel too! I feel like I’m either getting an infection or a virus because I feel feverish and unwell. I’m glad to know it’s not just me
I’m glad I finally plucked up the courage to post here today. I’ve spent the last 24 crying which is making me feel dehydrated on top of everything else 😆 but at least I know now some of what I’m feeling is happens to others too, although I’d rather it didn’t it does make it a bit less frightening
I am so happy that you posted this thread as this has been the bane of my life this past few months. I am booked in for my ultrasound next week but have already been told that it will be unlikely that it will show anything accurately so the laparoscopy will follow. My pain and symptoms are getting worse and more varied so I’m hoping for action sooner rather than later!
OMG don’t get me started on my hot flushes!! I’m 28 and also had menopausal, hormone tests and it all came back fine. I also get wet to the point it’s dripping nights are the worse for me, but it is through the day too. Its just getting worse as time goes on. Its just a pain and I don’t have any advice unfortunately but just so you know your not alone 🤗 x
Thank you so much for sharing this with me lovely! It’s so good to know that others are going through the same thing .. new symptoms can be so scary! Sending lots of love and positive vibes! X
Yes me! I was having terrible hot flushes and several a day, in general very sweaty and terrible night sweats. The only thing that has helped me is having the decepeptyl injections and HRT. I believe I was menopausal and they done a blood test which seems to be useless anyway and that came back fine. I do believe hormones play a massive part in how we feel, we go through so much with endometriosis and adenomyosis that it has to effect us in some wayX
Thank you so much for reply! Yes, I agree that hormones have a lot to answer for and with endometriosis and adenomyosis hormones are all over the place! Sending love and positive vibes to you x
I’m on HRT for menopause still because I didn’t know I had endometriosis and Adenomyosis till recently. Even though the HRT got rid of my menopause symptoms including temperature problems when I got what I now realise were endometriosis flares my temperature still went haywire and in between I was ok. Now it seems to be one long flare up
Yes! I also had blood tests for my thyroid as my mother has an underactive thyroid but it all came back fine, I get so hot during my period when I’m having a particularly bad flare up, particularly my head and face! It feels almost feverish . I’m 23 but the hot flushes feel like what I’m told the menopause feels like sometimes! Hope you’re well!
Thank you so much for your reply! That’s exactly how I feel too .. feverish! It almost feels like I have some sort of infection. It’s good to know there’s someone of a similar age to me who’s going through the same thing. Although I wish you didn’t have to suffer! Mine seems to get much worse around my period too and when I’m getting a flare up. It was so bad a few weeks ago that they had to rush me into hospital. It’s so true that endo is a whole body disease.. not just felt in the pelvis. Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way! X
I have been experiencing the same issue and I would never complain of being hot. Just this constant feeling of being very warm. I live on Northern Ireland and never been more glad to get into the water to cool off these summer. 36 this year and only this summer that I have feelt this sort of body heat. It got worse since I had the 1st covid jab. Not sure if it is related. Sending hugs your way
I have had 10 years of them at night particularly. The HRT has not helped in this respect. I wake up every night between 2 and 5am. I am also on an exclusion anti inflammatoryy diet, not overweight. Don't know what to do.
Ah bless you, I can imagine it’s really horrible when it keeps you up at night. I’m so sorry you’re struggling with this. Sending love and positive vibes to you x
Yes definitely! After a shower or eating too I will sweat profusely. I always have done but only recently worked out it’s due to endo and hormone imbalance. It’s horrible. Sage tablets help (a bit).Best wishes to you xxx
Yes me too! Hot meals just make me drip with sweat, it’s so awful! I definitely think mine is down to hormonal imbalances too.. thank you for the recommendation of the sage tablets. That’s very helpful. Sending love and positive vibes to you xx
Yes. My daughter has endometriosis and she frequently has hot sweats throughout the day. She had the endo surgically removed but she still gets the hot sweats. We think it is due to the progesterone she has been prescribed.
I’m sorry to hear that your daughter is struggling with the same issues. I’m due to have my endo surgically removed soon. I was also wondering if the progesterone pill I am taking has a part to play in the sweating. Sending love and positive vibes to your daughter and to you!
I am pretty certain that the progesterone plays a part in the hot sweats - my daughter never had them before she took progesterone. I myself had very frequent hot sweats during perimenopause. I hope your surgery goes well. Since her surgery, my daughter no longer has abdominal pain.
hi hun how's u doing, I too suffer with sweats I call em that cause I'm both hot n cold 😂 I have noticed patterns for example I get my sweats a few days before I ovulate and a day or two after, the same again when I'm on 🥵, I was prescribed a roll on that was practically acid in a bottle 😂 I don't bother with that anymore! I believe it's endometriosis related but there's no information on it, but it follows my cycle so fuck know 😂 xxx
Hi lovely! I’m doing ok, hope you are good too! I completely agree with the sweating and overheating getting worse around ovulation and my period. Although I’ve been on my period for 5 weeks so don’t get a break from it at the moment! I went on a walk with my in laws the other day and I was dripping with sweat and I felt so embarrassed! I thought that they must think that I’m so unfit but it happens when I’m just sitting still too 🤣 Sending love and positive vibes to you xx
I've had this all my life since starting periods. I also get cold sweats in-between the hot sweats like someone else mentioned. I wake up with sweats in the night every night, don't always properly settle again despite being exhausted all the time. So you are definitely not the only one suffering like this it seems. These forums are so useful to find these things out xx
Thank you so much for your reply! Yes I agree, this forum is so helpful and it’s nice to know that you aren’t alone in how you feel. Sending love and positive vibes to you xx
Hi. Have you ever had your thyroids checked? However, the NICE Guidelines for thyroids results are too low. Go on the Thyroid.uk website to read about it. I am looking in that direction. Good luck!
If you're on a Endo drug, if you're over weight, if you're going diabetic, if you have a Thyroid issue that could be why. All are linked through the Endocrine System. But get blood sugar, thyroid etc tests.
