If it's what you're describing it's called Uterus didelphys, usually one vagina is smaller and never used. It may be a good idea to have a specialist check to see if it's complete - second vagina, uterus and ovaries.

It's nothing medically concerning but it can have the normal cycles too so it's good to know what's going on.

Most women with it still have a normal cycle, relationship, sex, pregnancies. But if it bothers you I think you can have it all cosmetically removed and sutured.

Yes I think it’s called labia minora. The lower lips of the uterus and I noticed another lip 2 cm away from the main lip but only on one side. My periods have always been normal i never miss them or bleed excessively . However I’ve never ever noticed this before and j always keep check. It is new but I don’t know if it can develop mid life. Maybe it was always there?

If it's just an additional lip and not a full opening it's probably nothing to worry about, sounds like an extra fold of skin which looks the same. The body actually can't create an additional labia as those are formed when a foetus by symmetrically growing cells before hormones define us as male or female - in the female this becomes the labia and in the male these fuse together and become the testicle sacks.

Just an fyi so the correct terms are used; the labia majora are on the outside the hairy folds starting from the pubic bone down to the perineum behind the vagina. The labia minora are the ones either side of the urethra starting from the clitoris down towards the vagina.

It sounded like you meant another opening like another vagina.

There are folds of skin which are like skin tags often formed from a small nick or tear in the skin from shaving, waxing, stretching or a graze / scrape. The shape depends on the tear. Which grows over time changing shape and form, that could have happened there. Just keep any eye on it for infection, swelling, changing in size etc.

If you're concerned see your GP; I'm always checking stuff down there as I've had a skin tag which kept catching on my knickers and when I shaved so I had an outpatients appointment to get it lasered off. xx

I think it’s On the labia majora by the hairy folds I can’t see it if I’m regularly standing it’s between my skin I have to stretch my skin to see it and I see a whole lip between my inner thighs 2cm away from my main lip. It doesn’t look concerning but just the fact that there is another lip just smaller was freaking me out. It looks very new right now. What you’re saying relieves me to a very good extent
