Currently trying to conceieve our first baby after a over a year of heartache. Recently diagnosed with endometriosis and a 5cm cyst on my left ovary, ive had HSG and my tubes are clear and i have regular periods. But ive recently seen on my records i have a retroverted uterus this has never been mentioned to me during ultrasand, lap or appoitments with my gyno? Should i be worried about this? Thanks for any advice x

about your tilted uterus, it's very normal for the uterus to tilt. Mine is foward tilted and I asked if it was anything to worry about and was told no. The only thing is if it's tilted with endo it is likely to be stuck there from endo fusion. Let me know if you hear otherwise would be interesting to find out if it is anything else. Xx

Hello there!

I had a retroverted uterus, it doesn't hinder you for pregnancy/conceiving!

I chose to have mine flipped as it was pressing on my bladder, my surgeon said it wasn't a problem for anything else, just some have it forward, some have it backwards!

All the best for the future xx

I also have this and trying to conceive. I was reassured that it won't cause any complications with conception or pregnancy xx

My mam, sister and I, all have this and we all have children, and had no complications during our pregnancies or delivering the babies.

Best wishes x

Hi there, I have the same problems as you. I have been trying to concieve for three years, I've only just had confirmation 4 weeks ago through a laparoscopy that I have severe endometriosis (although I knew myself that I had it). My tubes are clear but are stuck to my uterus and my bowel on the left side is adherent. My uterus is retroverted and appears to be fixed. Just wondered if you have managed to concieve? And did they do any surgery on your uterus?

Xx

Hello, sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with endo. I am still waiting for surgery unfortunatlely so have had to go back on the pill to supress the endo from worsening. We will hopefully have a better chance one the endo is removed has i have a large RV nodule infiltrating my bowel and my left side is fixed down too, so fingers crossed surgery is our answer.... just a waiting game now! I was told a retroverted uterus wouldnt affect pregnancy however remove these adhessions may improve the posistion! Have you been given a surgery plan yet? X

We are in the same exact position then, I started back on the pill a week ago also to stop the endo getting worse until my surgery. I hate it though, my stomach has been so bloated because of it. I just received a letter yesterday for an appointment with the Endometriosis team at my local hospital in two weeks time but I will be on holiday and so have to reschedule it for when I'm back. I was told the waiting time for surgery is about three months. I'm going to go on holiday and relax and try not to stress about it all too much xx

The only way i control the bloat is lots of water!! But sometimes theres just no helping it lol wow you havent got long to wait atal, by the time i have my surgery i would have been diagnosed a year. My specialist has such long waiting times. Where are you being seen? Enjoy your holiday and hopefully youl get some answers when you return :) xx
