Would love any advice if you've faced issues with your sex drive on Cerazette? I had a unsuccessful lap in Jan 19 and have been on Cerazette since, I saw my consultant a couple of months ago and due to months of irregular bleeding he advised me to take 2 tablets of the 75 micrograms tablet. Since then, I feel like my sex drive has completely gone which is really unlike me. I'm hoping it improves in time once my body is used to it but I'd love to know if anyone has had a similar experience?? xx

I've not been on it myself but a quick google of the side effects:
What are the side effects of Cerazette?
Changes to your period, eg irregular bleeding, more frequent or less frequent periods, or sometimes stopping of your periods. ...
Mood changes, including feeling depressed.
Reduced sex drive.
Headache.
Feeling sick.
Acne.
Breast tenderness.
Weight gain.
I think it's the same with most hormones. I was on Microgynon and definately had some of the above.
You could try changing your pill, but side effects are different for each woman but if some side effects on other ones you're more able to cope with and the libido is important then changing may be good.
How long have you been on it. I had these symptoms at the start but I've now been on it 5 years and all has settled and I dont have periods. I still got small amounts of endo but I think it has really helped
Hi sorry it was a couple of weeks ago but i have just seen ur post.
So i have endo, awful pains when on period but im now 45 and have been put on cerazette...
The pain of the periods has gone, the heavyness has more or less gone BUT im on my 3rd month now and im all over place... i been bleeding on and off for the whole 3 months....
i asked gp and she said this can sometime be normal till it settles and to give it 6 months.
Cerazette was by far the worst pill I was on and I was on a fair few. Was on it for 9 months and honestly don't think I had sex once, let alone felt like I wanted to. I know it's different for everyone and it might come back for you with time but for me, the start was how it went on (worse still when I hadn't had a period in like 4 months and my body desperately needed one). I think it's the same with most pills and adjusting to them so it's just a case of sticking it out and seeing if it changes and if not, if you can cope, all the best!
