I had my laproscopy on the 9th October and had endo removed from both ovaries. Today was my first period since, and I’m devestated to say that the pain is just as bad as it was. I had every hope that the problem had been resolved, or at least bought me some time. I really have no idea what’s wrong with me, and feel like such a lost cause.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Thank you
Holly xx

Yes I had 2 ops n didn’t do anything. I had 5 sessions of acupuncture and really reduced my pain to a manageable level, had 1 session a week for 5 weeks but noticed a difference after the 1st. That was last year. I’m going again as pain has returned so time for more sessions. Try it it really helped me x
No it was not strange to be honest. They put a needle in top of my head (supposed to help with stress) 1 in each foot, 1 in wrist and 1 in each hand. 2 in my leg and 3 or 4 in my belly. They meant send signals to each other n break down stagnation which they said is what causes a lot of the pain. I don’t really understand it but it helped me. Just make sure the therapist knows it’s to help with endometriosis x
Afraid to say I had exactly the same issue three months after my op I went for a scan and had developed four more cysts, obviously not as large as the ones surgically removed but still substantial.
I'm now on zoladex to try and stop it getting any worse. Which in itself is quite a drastic option.
Hope your ovaries are all clear and it's just settling pain x
The first period after a lap is the same or worse for a lot of women. My first 3 periods were awful but the fourth was much better.
Your lap was only very recently and the body takes a long time to heal internally. Took me about 4 months and in that time, my symptoms were much worse.
Please don’t give up hope that it hasn’t worked yet xx
