Hi everyone, I did my first laparoscopy ten days ago and I’m recovering well, it was an endometriosis excision surgery. The doctor then told me I needed to go on Visanne for a year to stop the Endo from regrowing.

Do most doctors recommend this after surgery?

Hello

Not sure about visanne specifically. But most Dr's do suggest hormone treatment after surgery this is to try and control symptoms. It doesn't stop endo growing back as your ovaries will still produce hormones and endo can produce its own to be self growing. Which is my even hysterectomys sent considered a cure. Research into the specific one they are suggesting looking into what people have had experience wise with side effects aswell as benefits.

Yes, many do. It's up to you whether to undergo hormonal therapy or not, but Visanne is definitely the most effective on the market, if you tolerate hormones.

Thank you for your response, unfortunately I could not tolerate visanne as it gave me strong stomachaches but I’ve just started going on the pill.
