Hi lovely people,
After 15 years I was finally told I have endometreosis in December following a transvaginal ultrasound where they found multiple cysts and endometriomas. I want to start trying for a family but was told to start the pill while I wait (which feels counterintuitive). I was referred to gynaecology and I've called to ask when they expect to be able to see me (not in an angry way, just because my letter said I would hear from them by Dec 31st and I wanted an update as have heard nothing) and was just told there are 300 other woman waiting and they can't even give me a very rough idea if its weeks or months or where I might be on that list. I work in the NHS so I understand there will be a wait but would expect at least a rough idea even if it was expect to wait 6 months for example.
I am very very anxious about all of this and was wondering if someone could let me know what to expect when I do get my first appointment - I want to be realistic going in about what will happen as I'm desperate for this appointment and dont want to come out feeling it was wasted if I expect too much. Will it be slightly different as they already have said they believe its endo?
Thanks so much
Xx
